Freshman Matthew Hurt is playing a huge role in Duke's season so far. He's started 20 out of 25 games so far, averages 10.6 PPG and shooting 49.5% from the floor and 40.9% from 3 point range, and has a 78.9% FT avg!

I read where Coach K has suggested to the NCAA that they should consider giving all senior college basketball players an extra year of eligibility due to the shutdown but I don't know how far this will go. What are your feelings about this?

I don't see how that can happen, but spring athletes like baseball, etc should get another opportunity, but basketball has had since games since November

I think college athletes who play spring games have already been given extended approvals. I think Coach K was simply saying in his suggestion to the NCAA that college senior basketball players were not allowed to complete their season with conference tournaments and the NCAA Tournament. I agree with you about not seeing how this can happen but what else have we got to talk about right now with the sports world dead?

I think this bunch, with all of them in their prime, could have beaten an NBA All Star team.

Now you need a true point guard but I'm sure that Coach K will find one.

Actually I'm surprised that Jones didn't leave last year along with the rest of Duke's one and done players but I guess he thought he needed another year to make his NBA resume better.
