The season is now less than 2 weeks away. New staff, new system, lots of new players. @FNG and I came up with some stats that may, or may not, be interesting to see how they unfold. What are your predictions on these?

1. Will any RB carry the ball 20+ times in any single game? The last time Frost had a player rush 20+ times in a game was Royce Freeman in 2015. The closest a UCF player got to 20 carries was Milton with 19 carries in 2016.

2. Will a TE break the single season reception record for TEs at Nebraska? Mike McNeill holds the record at 32. UCF's leading TE caught 32 passes last year.

3. Will a WR break the single season reception record at Nebraska? Westerkamp has the record at 65. Morgan had 61 last year. Frost had 1 guy have more than 65 catches at Oregon in 2014.

4. Over/under: Nebraska points per game 31.9

5. Over/Under: Sacks by Nebraska - 24.5

6. Over/under: Nebraska turnover margin - +5.5
Nebraska has only had a positive TO margin 3 times in last 14 years and none of them have been over +5.

7. Over/under: Nebraska INTs thrown - 11.5
Frost has not had a team throw more than 9 INTs in a season

8. Who will lead the team in tackles?

9. Over/under: Nebraska kickoff/punt returns for TDs - 2.5

10. Over/under: Players with 20+ receptions - 6.5
Nebraska has only had 7 or more guys catch 20+ balls in a season once ever, that was in 2008. Last year UCF had 6 guys at 20+ and 2014 Oregon had 7.

11. Which RB will have the most receptions? Only counting the players listed as "RB"
Greg Bell
Jaylin Bradley
Tre Bryant
Miles Jones
Devine Ozigbo
Maurice Washington
Mikale Wilbon

No.

Going out on a limb here and saying yes. Stoll will have 35.

3. Will a WR break the single season reception record at Nebraska? Westerkamp has the record at 65. Morgan had 61 last year. Frost had 1 guy have more than 65 catches at Oregon in 2014.

No. Too many guys to spread the ball around to.

4. Over/under: Nebraska points per game 31.9

Over.

5. Over/Under: Sacks by Nebraska - 24.5

Over. Just barely.

6. Over/under: Nebraska turnover margin - +5.5
Nebraska has only had a positive TO margin 3 times in last 14 years and none of them have been over +5.

Under. We might break even though.

7. Over/under: Nebraska INTs thrown - 11.5

Over.

Will Honas

No
2. Will a TE break the single season reception record for TEs at Nebraska? Mike McNeill holds the record at 32. UCF's leading TE caught 32 passes last year.
No - too many WR and RB options, don't see it getting there with no proven TE.
3. Will a WR break the single season reception record at Nebraska? Westerkamp has the record at 65. Morgan had 61 last year. Frost had 1 guy have more than 65 catches at Oregon in 2014.
No - I almost went yes, thinking Morgan, but i think teams will blanket him if they try and throw it that way too much and Frost is too smart for that anyway.
4. Over/under: Nebraska points per game 31.9
Under - i'd go 30ppg, Frost first season at UCF was 28 and we play some teams with good defense/ball control type offenses.
5. Over/Under: Sacks by Nebraska - 24.5
Under - i don't think we have anyone to get there the first year.
6. Over/under: Nebraska turnover margin - +5.5
Nebraska has only had a positive TO margin 3 times in last 14 years and none of them have been over +5.
Under - i'd just hope to break even.
7. Over/under: Nebraska INTs thrown - 11.5
Frost has not had a team throw more than 9 INTs in a season
Under - TL had 16 last year, so i just don't see with an improved o-line and better scheme them throwing 12 or more.
8. Who will lead the team in tackles?
Dedrick Young - i feel like he has underperformed the last 2 years but he still managed 80 tackles last year as he doesn't get hurt. I feel like with his improved conditioning and improved speed, he'll be towards the top this year as well.
9. Over/under: Nebraska kickoff/punt returns for TDs - 2.5
Under - Most teams are lucky to get 1 a year, so i don't see where we get 3.
10. Over/under: Players with 20+ receptions - 6.5
Nebraska has only had 7 or more guys catch 20+ balls in a season once ever, that was in 2008. Last year UCF had 6 guys at 20+ and 2014 Oregon had 7.
Under
11. Which RB will have the most receptions? Only counting the players listed as "RB"
Devine Ozigbo - he's the guy that no one expects to catch passes, he's in there to run or block, so i think Frost can use that to get him open and yards. He had 16 last year, Wilbon had 21, but i feel Wilbon has less work in this offense with Washington/Bell being there.

You have no idea how much I hope you’re correct.

Not likely. That's Ndamukong Suh and Rich Glover stuff.

Greats like Danny Noonan, Larry Jacobson, Neil Smith, Jason Peter, or Kenny Walker did not lead the team in tackles.

I love all of the responses. I will admit, there are a few of those numbers that I waffled on but ultimately went with a higher number to see how much kool-aid was being drank around here.

No.... Too much depth at RB for one to get 20+ carries

2. Will a TE break the single season reception record for TEs at Nebraska? Mike McNeill holds the record at 32. UCF's leading TE caught 32 passes last year.
No, not unless Noah Fant tranfers :L

3. Will a WR break the single season reception record at Nebraska? Westerkamp has the record at 65. Morgan had 61 last year. Frost had 1 guy have more than 65 catches at Oregon in 2014.
Yes... Morgan FTW

4. Over/under: Nebraska points per game 31.9
Over... Last year was ballpark 25 if I remember correctly

5. Over/Under: Sacks by Nebraska - 24.5
Over

6. Over/under: Nebraska turnover margin - +5.5
Nebraska has only had a positive TO margin 3 times in last 14 years and none of them have been over +5.
Over

7. Over/under: Nebraska INTs thrown - 11.5
Frost has not had a team throw more than 9 INTs in a season
Under

8. Who will lead the team in tackles?
Honas

9. Over/under: Nebraska kickoff/punt returns for TDs - 2.5
Under

10. Over/under: Players with 20+ receptions - 6.5
Nebraska has only had 7 or more guys catch 20+ balls in a season once ever, that was in 2008. Last year UCF had 6 guys at 20+ and 2014 Oregon had 7.
Under, which could be a good thing... Too many weapons with our WR corps and stable of RB's. The ball will be spread out.
