The Bad Guy
The season is now less than 2 weeks away. New staff, new system, lots of new players. @FNG and I came up with some stats that may, or may not, be interesting to see how they unfold. What are your predictions on these?
1. Will any RB carry the ball 20+ times in any single game? The last time Frost had a player rush 20+ times in a game was Royce Freeman in 2015. The closest a UCF player got to 20 carries was Milton with 19 carries in 2016.
2. Will a TE break the single season reception record for TEs at Nebraska? Mike McNeill holds the record at 32. UCF's leading TE caught 32 passes last year.
3. Will a WR break the single season reception record at Nebraska? Westerkamp has the record at 65. Morgan had 61 last year. Frost had 1 guy have more than 65 catches at Oregon in 2014.
4. Over/under: Nebraska points per game 31.9
5. Over/Under: Sacks by Nebraska - 24.5
6. Over/under: Nebraska turnover margin - +5.5
Nebraska has only had a positive TO margin 3 times in last 14 years and none of them have been over +5.
7. Over/under: Nebraska INTs thrown - 11.5
Frost has not had a team throw more than 9 INTs in a season
8. Who will lead the team in tackles?
9. Over/under: Nebraska kickoff/punt returns for TDs - 2.5
10. Over/under: Players with 20+ receptions - 6.5
Nebraska has only had 7 or more guys catch 20+ balls in a season once ever, that was in 2008. Last year UCF had 6 guys at 20+ and 2014 Oregon had 7.
11. Which RB will have the most receptions? Only counting the players listed as "RB"
Greg Bell
Jaylin Bradley
Tre Bryant
Miles Jones
Devine Ozigbo
Maurice Washington
Mikale Wilbon
What say you?
