Speaking of Penn St...Marcus Allen's stock is like 4th rd+ now according to Walterfootball...that's a big drop for him.

Anyone have any info on the Boise St LB? A lot of mocks have the Steelers selecting him.

Saw that. I was never really that impressed with him, but don't think he's lower than a 3rd unless there's off-field issues I haven't heard of.

FWIW I really have not been liking the prospect rankings this offseason. Aside from WalterFootball, they have been wildly inconsistent. Seems like every other week the rankings change drastically. CBS went way downhill since they apparently hired a new guy to run it.

Off the top of my head...

*Very smart player
*Quick to diagnose plays, probably the best in this class
*Good range, capable of covering a lot of ground
*Packed on 20ish pounds this offseason to prep for the NFL since he was considered undersized. Led to concerns over how he'd perform at the combine, but he tested out very well at that size. Some think he went from a 2nd Rd prospect to an easy 1st Rd pick because of that. But I still have doubts about that. ATL made a great point that the draft history at that position is not very stellar in the 1st Rd. 2-3 prospects max. Considering Roquan Smith, Tremaine Edmunds, and Rashaan Evans all are considered 1st Rders, LVE could probably fall into the 2nd. I'd be ok with the pick, but if they had the choice between LVE & Evans, I'd take Evans easily. Much more dynamic player.

I'm just now starting to look at the big board rankings and I was surprised at the swings for some players...you'll see all this on the XL I will be DMing you...LVE was 80th on Drafttek 27th on CBS and 41st on WF...who did he piss off at drafftek?

Allen...not real sure what the knock on him is...I agree his size is ideal for a S in the league...I think he'll go sooner than 4th as well.

Some really varied opinions on LVE... Probably have nothing to do with the player, but interesting how Drafftek ranks him 80th, CBS 27th, and Walterfootball 41st these are all supposedly postcombine.

I like him, but I think and get comparable production later.

Terrible sentence...lol

I think I can get...

There are some LBs in the 2nd/3rd round I think would play pretty early.

nevere heard of him, wheres he projected., tomlin likes OSU linebackers
He was the kid we talked about during the combine. He really turned heads. Pretty sure he played OLB in a 4-3, and at his size there's no way he could play OLB in a 3-4 base in the NFL. My guess is if the Steelers are interested then he will transition to ILB. He's projected in Rds 2-3.

1. Darrius Guice - RB
2. Mason Rudolph - QB
3. Kemoko Turay - LB

Guess Bucky Brooks thinks the Steelers need to ignore the glaring holes and draft for the future. Not a bad call, but definitely against the grain. Looks like I have some homework to do on this Kemoko Turay kid.

Yep...I think Terry or you mentioned him...he's one of about 2 or 3 guys I like in the 2nd rd...I thought the small school guy Darius Leonard (SC ST) would be there maybe at 92, but his stock is rising in the post combine mocks.

Tomlin likes power 5 school guys so Baker is a name to watch.
