the 2nd biggest comeback in ncaa history thats a instant classic it will be the rosen miracle just like the doug fluite pass yes rosen will be a legendry greats of ncaa football just like flutie and the rest

It was a great game and a great comeback, no doubt. To say he's a legend, though, is lessening the meaning of the word.

rosen lead back the bruins to 2nd biggest comeback in ncaa history he is a qb legend he will be the first qb chosen we wont get him we wont suck that bad

Rosen should have thrown 2 INT in the 4th QTR but the defense literally let it slip between their hands. He even admitted he got lucky. He still is a hell of QB and we probably won't be able to get him anyway.

I will be 100% shocked if Jackson does well in the NFL & don't really care how he does this season or about his stats - it will likely not translate to the NFL. We will see.

if he learns pocket passing , he can do well . i saw some good things passing from him vs purdue . so perhaps he will work on that

Guys just because he's mobile and athletic doesn't mean he isn't really good at the "typical" qb stuff...

Cmon now

right know you can say Rosen is the number 1 pick but redskins wont get him we wont suck that bad to get the 1 or 2 pick in the draft and i dont think they will trade up again i think doug williams has already said this

You can't say Rosen is number one because the biggest question I have seen about him is leadership...and that is huge.

ehb loves him some spread QBs. :D

I just won't penalize them for running a spread.

Especially when they're super talented physically as passers and runners, and can read defenses, and make progressions and decisions better than the other QBs in the class.

Jackson might bust like anybody else but people are criticizing him for basically just not looking enough like what they think a qb should be.

We know what a QB should look like. A spread, running QB is not it, especially with bird legs.

So my post was mostly tongue in cheek because you and I have talked about this many times. I have barely watched this kid. He had some skills when I watched. No doubt. As far as reading defenses and making progressions .... what they do in college does not come close to what they need to do in the pros. Spread or pro style doesn't matter. The game amps up 10 times compared to college. This supports Sty's idea that kids out of college should get a couple of years to learn. I agree with Sty on this point.

What we do know is that college QBs in a pro style offense have faired better in the NFL. There is also an issue with LTs in option offenses. They are no where near as prepared for the NFL. I think the NFL is sort of morphing into the spread offense more but the difference in defenses in the NFL is so much higher in talent, speed and skill that I am not sure that offenses can totally make that change.
