She finally figured out her forehand. She needs more zip on her serve if she is going to go to the next level. I was surprised she did as well as she did. Didnt play well this year and was beat up.
meh, very few women have big serves. she needs to stay dedicated week in and week out. she has really slimmed down since beating serena at the french last year.

That actually worries me a bit. Ivanovic's game went down the crapper after she did the same.

Given I'm a Fed fan and not a tennis fan, this incessant excessive ball bouncing before every serve by Cilic is annoying as fuck...

Cilic is struggling. Looking like a pretty routine straight set win for Fed.

He came out trying to overwhelm Fed with power and pace and is now at the realization that after the first couple games, Fed's been in a mode where it won't beat him. Ever since then, he's been trying to do too much.

it looks like a good thing in her case. ivanovich did appear too lose some power though.

The dude was shook on the walk into the stadium. Between the crying and the foot stuff, can we just throw in towel before further embarrassment?

not sure how anybody can call themselves a tennis fan and not watch an all time great win a major, but okay. lol.

i'm not a big rafa fan, but as a tennis fan, i'd have been a complete moron to not witness his historic (albeit dominant and somewhat zzzzz inducing) roland garros win.

we're in a golden era of tennis on the men's side. people said the same about the 90s, but what we're seeing with these aging top guys is something special. probably never going to happen again in my lifetime.

That's like saying someone isn't a football fan because they didn't watch the 4th quarter of the Seahawks/Broncos superbowl. The match was already decided and Cilic wasn't competitive at all. Not going to waste my time and watch another boring 3rd set when I knew the end result.

I am a football fan and I didn't watch the end of last year's SB. I kind of regret missing that, but I thought the Falcons had it in the bag.

that said, both finals had my full attention. I did not read a book while watching or anything, besides my gf sitting beside me asking what trim I liked best for our bathroom remodel. I also snuck off and made breakfast during the second set of the Ladies' Final.

fuck the NFL and the whole display they put on for the Super Bowl. Makes it run too late and if the Eagles aren't in it, I really don't care all that much.
