My Wisconsin drought is finally over. Haven't drafted a player from there since WR Brandon Williams.

@Draft Crazy

Are we counting Jaylen Samuels as a RB? He doesn't really have a set position I believe he's listed as a TE on most websites though. I ask cause you put him as RB in the draft selection thread, maybe just a mistake though

We had this debate last year. We go by ourlads as our official site for position eligibility. He is listed as a FB there. We will keep an eye on it. Last year SkinsDevil had him and had to use him at RB, which he still did well there. just didn't get point for catches.

Ok. He's listed as a H-Back on Ourlads. Which i'd say makes him more of a TE than a FB

H-Back Definition - Sporting Charts

H-back should not be confused with the halfback position. The H-back position is usually played by a tight end. The position was perfected by coach Joe Gibbs to counteract the pass rushing ability of Lawrence Taylor in the 1990s.

A more current example of an H-back would be Chris Cooley during his time with the Washington Redskins.

I'm bargaining for those catch points, haha.

Yeah , we use the official roster listing page if a player is listed as different in two spots or as two different positions on a depth chat. This created a nightmare week 1 last year with SkinsDevil so we all agreed to use the official roster page not the depth chart. We often have two players listed as two positions if we use the depth chart.

Yea I can imagine haha.

He's listed as a H-Back on NC States official roster as well. I guess it depends on what your definition of H-Back is, but i'd say he should be a "TE" and eligible to receive catch points.

All I know is he is listed on ourlads the same way he was last year..

"FB" on the roster page.

"HBACK" on the depth chart.

Last year we had this debate and it was agreed that if the two didn't match since we use ourlads as our official position qualification that we go by the roster page which is "FB", H-Back isn't a real true position in our league so that is how we decided to go about situations like this.

You probably also saw in the rules that instead of a TE position we have 3 WR's/TE's positions so you can start a TE under the WR spot if needed, but there were so many issues a few members were having with TE/WR players. Like Jace Amaro who was listed as a TE but really was a WR in the Texas Tech system. So we got tired of debating that for years and just added an extra WR/TE spot. instead of "TE".

It's not an ideal situation I know, but it has caused a lot of heated arguments in this league. lol. I will say that Samuels was used nearly every week and was pretty decent as a fantasy player. He was used pretty well in the FLex (RB) spot. You ware missing out on roughly 1.5 -2 points a game for his catch total. Since we do half point per catch.

That's why we should bring back the TE. Make them get 1 pt per rec to give them a boost.

Ugh. No. Optional at best as it is. And only for REAL TEs.

not fullbacks who catch passes.

We have brought up the idea of bringing back the TE, but we need to discuss it after the season and not during the draft IMO so we can focus on it, but nobody really wants to talk once the season is over so it gets forgotten about.

I like the Ty Johnson pick. If I wasn't so into Bradrick Shaw I probably would have taken him with that pick... Maryland needs to feed him more though, but the guy can ball.

I was hoping to get a few other guys before, but they were all drafted this round. I'll happily accept Johnson average going down from 9 ypc of it means they are feeding him the ball more

How many Google Image Searches did you have to do before finding an action shot of Jeffrey Mead?
