Looks like Britton may be the only one that might be traded.... A bidding war would be great for us.

Indeed, an executive with one team even thinks Houston could be close to landing Britton as the team engages in “serious” pursuit of the star lefty, Rosenthal tweets.

Meanwhile, despite some indications to the contrary, Jon Heyman of Fan Rag hears the Orioles would still consider dealing Britton to the Nationals. (Twitter link.) That said, Baltimore is looking for an impact prospect from Washington or any other team.

And the Dodgers also are still not out of the running on Britton, Rosenthal tweets, leaving the field largely wide open.

yes and doing very well . love to see smith moved so we can look at him . smith shouldn't have to waste on our bench . looks like britton is gone . I would try givens as closer over oday and brach hope they go also .

britton should get us a shortstop and a starting pitcher that is close to the majors . raffy son has been moved to second base for a look . first base is tied up for years with mancini and davis . we have 3 outfielders in the minors just killing it . wasn't long ago we didn't have much . if britton goes wish him the best and with the stros they would win it all in my mind

Here's a shocker... We get our short stop of the future. I hope Dan didn't give up anyone good.

Orioles acquired INF Tim Beckham from the Rays for RHP Tobias Myers.

This deal is more about the future for the O's, who sit four games under .500 at the 2017 trade deadline. Beckham, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 MLB Draft, carries three more years of contractual control at age 27. He has batted .259/.314/.407 with a career-high 12 home runs and five stolen bases in 87 games this season. Look for him to get regular starts at shortstop in Baltimore while J.J. Hardy recovers from a fractured wrist.

Seriously. Dan is a idiot. We should have been sellers. No reason to trade at least Castillo. We have Joseph no reason for Castillo to spend the next 2 month with the O's.

He's going to be the future short stop I guess going forward. Still need 3 starting pitchers to contend.

pretty sure beckham has played very good vs us . he has the tools may just need a change of scenery , I would rather play with schoop and manny then what the rays puts on the field . one thing about it he isn't a log jammer on the bases like Trumbo and jj
