Not a good week for former Giants. Ryan Vogelsong got released by the Twins.
Did you all see that the Phillies recently brought up Mark Leiter, Jr? We cannot be that old, can we?
Well, there are still some guys my age that still play (Carlos Beltran and I were born the exact same day. Yes, the world almost couldn't handle that much goodness), but they are few and far between.I am still trying to deal with Raul Mondesi's son starting for the team we are playing tonight.
For me the big transition was hitting my late 30s and realizing I was older than almost every player. And now I'm older than some managers (I think...any managers under 47?)

Are you a china doll as well?Well, there are still some guys my age that still play (Carlos Beltran and I were born the exact same day. Yes, the world almost couldn't handle that much goodness), but they are few and far between.
You're just jealous. Are you a china doll as well?
You're just jealous.
It would have been cool if they got inducted the same year as well, then.I seem to recall Frank Thomas and Jeff Bagwell had the exact same birthday. I remember that because of how similar they were, and both had their primes at the same time, etc.

Shadupp yung'un.
And get off our lawns!
I'm at the stage where I look at Marcus Mariota and think, "we were in the same graduating class, what the hell am I doing with my life"

I drank beers with fellow UM freshman Alex Cora my first night in the dorms. Seeing him become of the baseball elder statesmen is scary as shit...

I feel the same way about a guy in my HS class who won the Nobel Prize for Physics...I'm at the stage where I look at Marcus Mariota and think, "we were in the same graduating class, what the hell am I doing with my life"
Really? Mariota? I graduated the same time year as Tom Brady and Tiger Woods.
