I wish Squidy nothing but the best, he played great when he was a member of the Flames and more importantly, I hope he and his family (daughter especially) are doing fine these days. I'd rather see a young guy get the opportunity to step up and make the team though.

He is the right size to fit in Pittsburgh with all the smaller wingers they got.
.....Oh wait nevermind they traded a 1st round pick for Ryan Reaves.

Seriously though he will be a good fit for a contending team.

I'd prefer Jagr over Cammy right now. I'd give Jagr a 2 milion plus 2 million in bonuses for points and games played deal.

I'd probably take Jagr too but I don't think he wants to ever play for a Canadian team.

Am I the only one who thinks Shattenkirk is extremely overrated? At almost 7 million per season as well, that's a big overpayment, in my opinion.

Not at that term. RD, he's a 50 pt player if he's healthy, he's pretty much the only big-ticket UFA on the board.

Just have never been all that impressed and he disappears like a fart in the wind in the playoffs.

/-25 in his last season and a half in St. Louis - I know +/- isn't a great stat, but that's still pretty terrible.
