If we field a top 10 defense and a smash mouth OL I'd be ok with that, we have some electric guys coming in on offense that Wisconsin almost never had beyond the RB position

i still need to watch, can't do that here at work. I'm fine with Wiscy defense level, i have no problem holding Ohio State to 23 points in regulation last year instead of the 62 we gave up or the 9 they held Iowa to. on the O, i agree with corn, i think in the skill positions we are ahead of wiscy, but we really need our o-line to step it's game up.

watched the BTN live last night. nothing really that note worthy that i haven't been hearing. they didn't get a great look at O-line with no scrimmage and no hard hitting or anything. That's really my biggest area of concern, if those guys can generate a running game, that will take the pressure off of Lee and really make a huge difference in teams needing to play both.

Horse Collar Tackle - basically expanded to now include the shirt too, specifically where the person's name is. - this seems like it could be big, i recall a lot of tackles last year that was by this part of the shirt.

Leaping and Hurdling - basically expanded it that you can't jump over people to block kick/pat. previously it was only disallowed if you landed on someone.

2018 Rule Change – Knee Pads - ha, no more "biker shorts", players have to wear knee pads that cover the knees. but this was postponed to 2018 because teams already had equipment for 2017.

Point of Emphasis – Game Length - main thing was to just to be mindful of time. officials to do a better job of managing dead-ball time. previously teams could agree for a longer halftime, but they have changed this to be that they could agree to a shorter halftime and halftime will not be longer than 20 min. they also say the halftime clock will start quicker after the 2nd Q ends as there are always instances where something delays the start of that clock.
