It should be doable, but tight. I read there was a flight that came into LNK at 12:30 or so on 9/17. It's gonna be an early morning for them though.

yea, that's how crazy husker fans are, one of the newspapers actually had an article about how recruits could possible get her for the game based on different times. it's freaking crazy that our fans think about that stuff, i highly doubt any other fanbase is doing that.

but yes, i'll try and go find the article, but basically they can take a redeye that leaves like midnight there and gets here at like 7am or i think there was like a 5 am flight that got in like you are saying at noon or so. If UNL is footing the bill for the recruit and 2 parents/guardians then i could see some kids doing it, but maybe not as many as had it been a night game.

Gundy said they've been talking with recruits about this issue for a little while. They looked into flights as soon as the start time came out, and the general consensus is that the Fresno State game might be better for some of the guys, but they're playing it by ear.

They really want it to not be a stressful deal and they want to have them experience the whole gameday start to finish.

I mean you're risking flight delays, and even if they get here on time, they'll just be getting there in time for the game. I don't think anyone wants that 7 hour trip with the layover in Chicago either. Friday night game, pack your shit up and get to the airport... You gotta REALLY want to be there for that particular game.

Someone asked Nate Clouse why we can't charter a private plane out of CA with all of the recruits and their parents, but that was made illegal by the NCAA in 2002 or so.

wow is that right? would be curious to see #of WRs put into the NFL and the # of years of experience. Also, just another curious thing would be the stats in 2015 / 2014 / 2013. If i remember correctly KW has been coaching for longer. quick google search is about 10 years longer.

but even then, i'd take the word of a guy that played receiver in college and professionally (even if it's a short career) over a guy that didn't even play college ball.
