If one recalls, the Cavs humiliated the Raptors in four straight in 2017, most notably when LeBron spun the ball in Ibaka's face (see below). Would this years Raptors have fared better against that team? And by how much?

Raps just destroyed three 'Super Teams' on their way to a Championship so who knows. They took out the best starting five in the NBA. They took out the top team in wins, and they took out the defending champs. You would naturally think guys like Love and Kyrie are super duper, I think THIS Raptors team could deal with them. I would bet Raps in 7.

Philly was by far the Raps toughest out. Things bode well for them.

Good topic

This year's Raptors would make a for a pickem series against the '16 or '17 Cavs IMO. Would be a very good matchup. Might come down to which team had home court.

1 thing is certain. Kawhi and Danny Green are not scared of LeBron. This Raptor team would not fold like Raptor teams past have.

I would go with the Cavs. Toronto just never seemed to be able to beat us, no matter who they had. Lebron and Irving would have been the best duo they faced all playoffs

Not the same Toronto team, bud. They always had the same core. Cleveland never went against this Toronto team.

Fyi the W’s team the Cavs beat in 2016 was much better than this years team. They had much more depth. The 2017 W’s team was probably their peak. KD, Steph and Klay were all lights out and they had depth. You didn’t play the super super team or the best of the best the W’s had to offer...not even close.

Still...it’s about the matchup. Raptors can defend very well. The Cavs offensively were better though. It would be close

Came in for the potato salad.

Imagine my disappointment. :tsk:

It would be a really good series, imo.

This Raptors team isn't the one that was allergic to Lebron and had a couple of players who have actually beaten Lebron teams in the finals.

So this Raptors team was far less likely to vapor lock over seeing Lebron.

The lack of potato salad throughout SportsHoopla polls is starting to become a problem.

And in many cases, this being one, it's not even noobs that are making this kind of egregious error.

That Cavs team had peak Lebron but this team's defense would have really posed a problem for him. Between Gasol and Kawhi, they would have been a real problem for him.

I think they would have a probably with the Cavs bigs. Love could post up Siakam, if they put Gasol on him, TT would have a field day on the boards. Gasol faced a slow, unhealthy Cousins or Draymond who is worthless on the block scoring wise

LeBron and Kyrie still on Cavs. I have to go with them. Those Cavs would've been a dynasty in a lot of different time periods in league history.

"Toronto just never seemed to be able to beat us"

Us? Get the fuck outta here. Unless you played for the Cavs or were employed by them there's no "us" for you.

Beside you're not a Cavs fan. Or a Lakers fan (you claim to be a LeBron fan but I call BS on that). Or a Warriors fan. Or a real NBA fan for that matter.
