The fact that the Outback Bowl features two unranked teams suggests that playing on New Year's Day doesn't quite hold the weight that it used to.

That said, if it was Harbaugh's influence that got Michigan into that bowl, I'm honestly happy for you, doug. It's about time he does something for you other then bending over and lubing up for your rivals.

1. His team's game will be buried by two other, more interesting, games played at the same time
2. The Outback Bowl has been saddled with TWO unranked teams
3. The ''draw'' is Harbaugh not the team. THAT is sad.

And, remember this doug. If playing on Jan 1 is as important as you claim, then LOSING on Jan 1 must be more devastating as well.
