2017 AL CENTRAL DISCUSSION

Doug, I know this guy who predicted that the Tigers would win the AL Central in 2016 AND 2017. He also predicted an MVP-type season for Miggy Cabrera AND a CY Award for either Verlander or Fulmer. Add to those mistakes, he predicted that the Michigan Wolverines would (again, lol) beat OSU and win the BIG10 Championship last year.
This guy even made a last minute switch, after panning the Tribe all season, for them to win the WS in 2016!!!!!

NOW, this same guy is again telling everyone that Michigan will beat OSU. What do you think, doug? Should anyone pay attention to this loser?

Doug should start predicting his teams to lose all the time, maybe this sort of reverse psychology will make them win somehow.

He uses clear predictive statements like "THE NUMBERS SAY" AND "NUMBERS DONT LIE" so he can try to weasel out of failed predictions by claiming "I never actually predicted anything I just said something about numbers"

I was kinda skeptical about the bruce acquisition--- he was o for his last 12 - and had a stiff neck supposedly when they dealt for him--- hes a rental player....chiz has been playing really well in right when hes healthy

but i gotta say--- im glad they made the move now.

I have no faith in Kipnis getting it together this year--- a couple years ago kipnis had health issues all year- tried to play hurt and never got on track...it seeems its the same this year.

asdrubal is the guy i wanted---- i sitll want the indians to get him---- but I will say--- Bruce has been better than i thought hed be thus far.

1. Tribe - easily- Kluber, Carrasco, Lindor, Jose, are all signed long term to cheap deals or not even arb. eligible.

2. White Sox- so many good young players

3. Twins- have a few guys

4. Tigers--- old, expensive, and a poor minor league system but a few solid young arms

5. Royals--- everyones leaving after this year


Tribe still has a guy like Mejia in the minors too....they really SHOULD own the central for the foreseeable future.

Tribe has the vast majority of its most important players under contract for a long time---- Miller is a FA after next year- as is Brantley....Santana is a FA this offseason--- besides those 3--- many of the other guys are signed up for a long time at great prices

none of these guys will be that expnesive

Kluber- 11M in '18, 13M for '19, 15M for '20, 15M for '21
Jose Ram- 3M in '18, 4M in '19, 7M in '20, 10M in '21
Carrasco- 7M in '18, 8M in '19, 10M in '20
salazar isnt a FA until 2021
lindor isnt a FA until 2022.....
kipnis isnt a FA until 2021

mejia is one of the best prospectsi n baseball- will be here for a long time

considering kluber and carrascos deals--- they are 2 o the most valuable pitchers in the game---

Predictions for the coming seasons in the AL Central, huh? I am going to wait and see what the guy I spoke about above has to say about that subject. The guy seems to know his sh!t. (Correct that..."he knows sh!t")
