It will be odd to be rooting for a guy named Mason when I've been rooting against a guy named Mason all season long.
So the top two C's are Point and Strome I assume?
For sure. Has fewer points than the other two, but does have a size advantage on Point. Point has seniority with the team, though. Gonna be an interesting call.Barzal might be worth a look I would think.
11 AM Pacific. Arsenal-Southampton at 11:45 AM. Tough choices for Mr. Dash to make.It all kicks off on Boxing Day with Team Canada taking on Team USA.

I think he's playing on the second line. Kingston as a whole are doing well though.Have you Ontario based guys been watching Lawson Crouse this season with Kingston, looks like he's putting up some pretty decent numbers (9 goals and 20 points in 18 games).

I haven't seen him play this year but I'd argue those are pretty low numbers for a 1st rounder in his post draft year.
No, which makes his going 12th overall crazy. He's pretty much on the same goal pace as last season, but already has half of the assists he totaled last season. I don't think he projects to be a elite goal scorer at the next level, does he?

To me he was one of the worst players on last year's team, along with Freddy the Goat. Not by me he doesn't. I don't see him as a top 6 forward but a lot of people do.
Other guys from the first round (especially excluding those awesome Sweeney-ites) are putting up much better scoring numbers. Guys like Barzal and Beauvillier are at about 2 PPG, Konecny's at 1.6 or so. Colin White is putting up 1.6 as a freshman at Boston College. They were all picked after Crouse.
Crouse's production looks a lot more similar to some of the guys from the late 1st/2nd round like Merkley, Stephens, Gropp, etc.
Let's just say that I was extremely relieved to see him go before Ottawa even had a chance to take him. To me he was overhyped and should have been a second round project type of prospect.

We do have to play the great Danes again...They played key roles! There's no way you can win a Gold medal without all that cycling against Germany and Denmark.
