On the offensive side of things, we continue to hear good things about where Tennessee stands with Marcus Tatum. While the Daytona Beach, Fla., standout is thought to be a Florida lean, Tennessee is closing ground. Look for an official visit to come later in the season from Tatum.

Look for Don Mahoney to swing by Mainland High School next Friday to see Tatum as well as a few others at the school.

Christmas-Giles brought a lot to the table in terms of size and athleticism, but there were some questions after he had to sit for his junior season. Video from a preseason jamboree made its way to the hands of college coaches and the big offers began to arrive. The reason is Christmas-Giles is a very solid 6-foot-4, 290 pounds and he is a player opposing offenses must account for with multiple blockers. Against a very good Brother Martin team, Christmas-Giles played with great leverage and routinely split and shed blocks.
