Because part of who he was had to do with not being that guy. I actually loved his tweet back then and agree with the sentiment now. It still applies today, and to KD.

That's where IMO Wade is wrong. Riley is paid to run a pretty big business.

He did exactly what he should have done, in the only order it could be done.

He had Birds rights on Wade, not Whiteside.

I would've been pissed. Beyond pissed. Because not only are we in full rebuild. We have to wait a couple of years before the rebuild can start. At least we're getting a head start and have a good amount of youthful talent on the team in Whiteside, Richardson, and Winslow.
