Its going to be Hillarious when Durant loses to the Thunder next year. GS will have no bench. And Durant is the sole reason why OKC lost to the Warriors this year.
That would be AMAZING.... but won't happen.

I wonder what Oklahoma City would want for Westbrook. I would love to have him on the Hawks. Him, Millsap, and Howard would make for a pretty great big three.

I'm thinking the Celtics would have the picks and players to get it done.

Ditto for Minny.

But,he'd not stay at either place.

You almost have to send him to LA or New York.

How is this different from Aldridge going to the Spurs?

He is a free agent.

It's his career.

Exactly.
Why people feel what THEY think should apply to others, is beyond me.

If i'm OKC(and I know this may sound harsh), I'd trade WB to the highest bidder and tank.

shiiit...last year on this forum no one gave the Cavs a chance...In the NBA- the team with the best player USUALLY wins- and that player resides on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Not only that but Irving outplayed Curry as well.

Golden State will be the favorites and I expect most people on here wont give the Cavs a chance again. There is still just one ball. Not only that- but in this cap environment- as i said to the Cavs detriment a few days ago- no one is going to take minimum contracts to go to a winner when the alternative is getting the money that is being thrown around nowadays. It will be interesting to see how the roster is filled out.

Cavs and Gilbert and James definitely have an up hill battle. After that stinging Finals loss Lacob and Curry and the Warriors upped the ante. I am sure Durant did not want to go down as this era's Malone and he got scared. Its very surprising to me. I didnt expect him to waive the white flag after being up 3-1 and losing like that. Maybe Durant thought he gave everything he ahd and he knew it would never be enough without monumental help.

Well, we shall see. The Cavs will once again play the under-dog role if an NBA Finals rubber match occurs and I will tell ya- I cant wait to see it happen.

There is only one King.

Nope.

Most won't give any outside the Bay a chance.

But, isn't that the beauty of Sports?

Over overcoming all odds, doing the impossible?

I would love a rubber match.

Agree.
Them losing allows him to be the 'difference maker'.

I wouldn't. They still have a damn good team
I wouldn't either before January.

Unless, I knew he was leaving.

You can't let two franchise players walk for nothing.

Westbrook will average 40 this year.

I wouldnt mind seeing Westbrook go to SA and replace Tony Parker. That lineup could beat GS and the Spurs would be much deeper.

At this point, you pretty much have no choice. Trade him and any other aging pieces for all you can get and just start over.

That would be dumb IMO. Trading a superstar when you have good players surrounding him just doesn't seem smart. They can make the playoffs in the west. Not a championship level team but they can be a 5 or 6 seed
