Man, my fingers need a break....
You missed the point. Howard's $23M is equivalent to $15M under the old cap (which is 66% of this year's cap). Mozgov's $16M is $10.5M under the 70M cap. Similar with Noah. Those teams needed centers, but you're adding undue value to their signings due to the cap-induced increases in spending. Those max deals are a percentage of the cap, so they are inflated by 34% as well.
Down the road a bit though, after being with the Sixers. You guys actually re-signed Wes, so you're not exactly immune to Laker castoffs.

Please.
Warriors, Clippers, Heat couldn't do more than re up their own guys.
The guy the Spurs wanted, Pau, is waiting on the Durant extension and the Celtics had money to burn.
None of the 5 Teams lost anything that they weren't going to lose anyway.
It's always better to have a chance at a top 3 guy than not.

How about your wrist?
Okay.
I see your point.
Again: Turners deal still looks like shit.
As long as he's happy....
None of them have a chance though. It's down to the Warriors and Thunder. The Lakers had no chance, so getting a meeting would've only served for them to hold cap space open for someone that wasn't coming. The Clippers spent 4 hours "impressing" Durant so much that he took them out of the running the next morning.
Durant isn't the only one either; Whiteside used the Mavs to get more money out of Miami. Parsons used a max deal in Portland to get the same out of Memphis (and ultimately lock up a 5 year max for Conley).

Kaman, Swaggy, Odom, Barnes, Blake....Chris Paul....lol
Have been on both Teams.
We never gave Swaggy a contract extension.
One Season was enough.
Jordan Farmar.
He he he.
*Sees Mecca reach for Big Red in the night stand and runs like my ass is on fire*
As long as it's not a 1 Team race to the Finals.

Didnt we have Sasha too?
Dude, you still have like 20 million in cap after burning tons of money on Deng and Mozgov.
So, not buying it.
Just like the Celtics added Horford, you would have had a chance to gauge how far away you were.
Again: The Clippers lost absolutely nothing by meeting with him.
The Heat were always going to have to pay the max.
They lost nothing by meeting with him.
It's like that in the East every season now.
