Eh, it's confusing. My mom's side of the family is Dutch, German and Polish. No idea on my dad. But I was born in Holland and couldn't get Dutch citizenship, so I got my dad's British citizenship by default......it's all confusing. My family was a bunch of whores sleeping around and shit. Half the time I don't even know what I am.

The few times I saw Bogdan, I knew he could play. Dude was just in a bad situation at Brooklyn. Now he's in a more stable situation and shining. And you're never going to get Wiggy to admit he's wrong. It's like asking for a blizzard in Miami middle of July - ain't happening. There's a reason I put him on ignore, because it's constant back and forth with no progress regardless of the logic you throw at him.

IMO Shane is worse- I had to hit him with the ignore long ago in order to keep my sanity around here!

I sure hope we get an opportunity to watch that series. I have been wanting to see the Cavs matchup with the Heat in the playoffs for years now.

I do know one thing- if that happens- LeBron wont be resting for the games in Miami!

if you want to read a GREAt article about the Lakers ownership saga i just posted it in that thread...its truly incredible. Ramona Shelbourne did a great job. She said one of the last straws was after Jeanie hired Magic to be a consultant- Jim and Mitch did not involve him at all- in trade offers for Cousins, Lou Williams, - working out Larry Sanders.

its just crazy stuff. Its pretty clear Dr. Buss wanted Jeanie to have control- and it seems Jeanie has the support of all but 2 of her brothers- but it seems like from the article that those 2 brothers are very vindictive.

the most interesting legal significance i found from the article is the fact that the children's interest in the Lakers lapses upon their death- its basically a "tenancy in common".....

there are 2 ways to do it---- divide it up 6 ways- and if one of those 6 dies- the interest then goes to their kids...

OR

when one of the 6 dies- the remaining alive siblings each have their shares increase- thats how it was done.

its effectively a "last man standing"- which complicates it for the older brothers- who will most likely die first- there children wont get anything as concerns there share in the Lakers- and seems like one of the reasons why they may want to sell.

Celts will probably finish 4th in the East, which is where they belong.

That is pretty interesting- but also smart on the part of Dr. Buss. See, our jobs as parents is to look out for our kids even when they're grown. I see it as a checks & balance kind of thing. Parents know their own kids better than they know themselves sometimes & clearly he made the right decision. Now, the business has a shot at continual growth which in turn will end up taking care of the family.

Smart move, very smart. IMO It's the difference between wealthy people & rich people.

the most interesting thing i saw was the fact that its not a "per stirpes"- meaning the grand kids dont inherit the kids' shares of the Lakers. The kids' share lapses.

I think that makes too much incentive for the two oldest to sell.....basically the last living Buss child gets the whole team. I dont like that- i think that creates too much incentive for conflict.
