Doesn't change the fact that their D is horrendous and that's never a good recipe when you get deep into the playoffs.

Exactly. I have no doubt that the Cavs will step up their defense for the playoffs. But it's requires a much bigger "step up" when you are 21st in defensive efficiency (this year) than it does when you are 10th in defensive efficiency (last year).

Not saying they can't do it. But it's not likely to be nearly as easy as some of these Cavs fans seem to think it will be.

I don't follow the Mock drafts much.....what are Bryce Alford's chances of making it in the NBA? Is he a better prospect than his dad?

I doubt he's a starter but he could be a good shooter off the bench for 15-18mpg imo....maybe max out as a good 6th man....

blow me. Have you ever watched an NBA game? the Cavs could be up 30 at the end of the 3rd quarter and Kyrie and LeBron and TT could take a seat for the night and the 2nd unit could let it get back to 19 EASILY. Or from 20 to 9.

It should be interesting to see what Bogut can do. I definitely did not expect the Cavs to nab the best 2 buyout candidates on the market- especially when they are the caliber of Bogut and Williams. Guys have always gotten bought out - but Williams in particular has still been very productive. Bogut less- so becuase of injury- but he has put up solid rebounding and defensive numbers while he has played.

Lue has 6 weeks to figure it out- figure out his rotations, who will match up vs. what team, etc....and he will have to do it without Kevin Love for probably all of it.

Its gonna be a fun ride again- but last year it seemed like they were further along at this point even if they had just fired the coach a couple months prior.

Its gonna be a helluva lot of fun though- i can tell ya that.

Korver, Williams and Williams are just bench players plus bogut was a big part of gs great defense and deron is an upgrade over delly

Korver, Williams and Williams are also the bench players that are supposed to provide the depth that GSW supposedly doesn't have.

Bogut was able to be a big part of GSW's defense because GSW actually defends the perimeter well which meant teams weren't killing them with 3's or players driving unchecked to the basket. If the perimeter defense doesn't improve, don't expect Bogut to be much help on defense.

As for Deron being an upgrade over Delly, that remains to be seen. Athletically speaking, he's an upgrade. From a toughness, heart and grit perspective...I'd say he's a downgrade.
