ehh u didnt have to really give up anything for Ibaka- a guy who is a UFA in a couple months- a late first rounder and terrence ross is not exactly breaking the bank.
Another first rounder and I'm not so sure that wouldn't have been enough for Boogie.

I am surprised that Phoenix did not get in on this.

there were rumors a couple weeks ago about an offer from Phoenix that seemed to be a lot better than this offer. Im glad Boston did not get involved. I woudl think they could have had him for the Nets pick- but apparently they didnt want to do it- I am A ok with that- did not want to see him in Boston.

Again- no Eastern Conference team wants to step up and really challenge the Cavs- they are all scared.
I think Boston's all in on Butler.

Woke up thinking that Cousins trade was just a hilarious dream. First thing I turned on was ESPN and welp for the Kings. Everyone is blasting the Kings right now.

well they did Hield, and a lotto pick for Cousins........the Raptors dont have a pick or young player that good to give them--- but i guess i kinda get what you are saying---- and i realize the kings package they got was a lot less than what supposedly the suns even offered them a couple weeks ago--- but apparently they really liked hield and wanted a lotto pick THIS draft.- this helps them keep their own pick as well....so it oculd end up basically being 3 lotto picks (hield, the pels and kings own pick) to deal cousins.

apparently no one else wanted to pay more....i read that hte Lakers were in on it- but there lack of a pick was a problem....

The Kings organization is a joke, feel bad for their fans.

Trading their best player just so they can tank and keep a top 10 protected in 2017 draft, sad.

i bet you would....that extra scoring and replacing a pretty weak center position would have been scary.
Boston's starting line-up would have been:

- IT
- Avery Bradley
- Jae Crowder
- Al Horford
- Boogie Cousins

Would have been a great series with Cleveland, and after that with GS.

It would have made the C's a title contender, a serious one. But I believe they have fait in IT, and they have a good thing going, and didn't want the chance of Boogie coming in and blowing up the lockeroom with his shit attitude, ala Howard (everywhere he goes).

Apparently the Twolves want Shumpert from the Cavs--- but i dont think the Cavs can really trade their best perimeter defender not named LeBron.

though- it would be interesting to see what they could get- or if a 3 way trade could materialize. The deadline is coming up shortly isnt it?

I agree....i dont think they wanted to take such a huge gamble on cousins considering how well there team is playing and the fact they would of had to commit so much money and assets to getting cousins.

it makes sense for a team like the Pelicans though. I hope it works out for them and Cousins and Davis stay there and in the West for a LONG LONG TIME.

The Pelicans are 2.5 games back of 8th in the West and just added one of the league's premier offensive players. How's the pick a lotto pick?

well right now it is--- all they have to do is beat the Blazers and Nuggets who should be their only competition- but blowing up your team and expecting it to run smoothly with , what? 35 games to go? not the easiest thing in the world to do.

it seems like they are going to make more deals too- now Terrence Jones is on the block and i expect him to be dealt for more back court help- if that is possible.

I dont think this deal was made for THIS year. lets just say that.

you really think they make the playoffs this year?

I kind of think the Nuggets will hold onto that spot as Jokic is playing amazing ball and it seems that team has gelled.
