there are tons of guys that can run an offense in the NBA. There are maybe 2-3 guys in the league that can do what Kyrie Irving does- and have the combination of shooting ability, and ability to finish at the basket- and beat elite defenses.

What a load of crap.

There are not "lots of guys who can run an NBA offense" there are, however, lots of guys in the NBA who can score and can finish at the basket.

Kyrie is a great scorer and a lot of fun to watch. But he's not a great point guard and he's not the be all, end all player you make him out to be.

Just my opinion, but I think Bosh really opened things up for Lebron and Wade. I'm not sure they win a title at all without Bosh.

I've said for years that Bosh was ultimately why the Heat were successful. Bosh was "the man" in Toronto and sacrificed more of his game to make the whole thing work than Lebron and Wade. If Bosh had tried to keep anything close to the role he played in Toronto, the Heat may well have imploded.

As far as this Irving/Wall stuff I think JW is the better pure PG but KI's a better scorer. And I don't think Wall would be putting up the assist #'s if he played for the Cavs. That team doesn't need a pass 1st PG because of LeBron. Irving's in the perfect place for his game right now.

I don't know. Someone else mentioned that Lebron may welcome having to handle the ball less. Perhaps the reason Lebron is still handling the ball so much is because he has to? Kyrie, as a score first PG, isn't going to be setting up his teammates like Wall would.

Lebron isn't stupid. I don't think it would take him long to figure out that he could rest more and have an easier time scoring and have less of a workload with Wall at point than with Kyrie.

I'd rather have Wall over Kyrie on my team. Wall is a solid scorer(only 2ppg less than Kyrie) while also being great at setting up his teammates and great on defense. Kyrie is a great scorer because of his 3pt shooting while being a decent playmaker for his teammates. I think Wall is more of a complete player on offense and defense, but I would still love to have a player like Kyrie on the Kings.

This. And I agree, I'd take either of them on the Lakers.

except when LBJ was out in overtime- just the other night- Kyrie scored the most points of any eastern conference player in overtime this season- beating the Wiz on their home court- ending their 17 game home winning streak- and doing it with LeBron on the bench.

:) nice try though.

lol @trying to act like playing great in 1 overtime without Lebron is accomplishing something. Also, without Lebron's last second shot, the game doesn't go to overtime. So, even his shining moment required Lebron to set it up for him.

You're the pathetic one. Point was this shows that players are not just going to automatically sign back with their teams due to the new CBA. As i been saying all along, there are other factors that they consider.

Lol. Wiggy has been getting clowned so badly that he's just lashing out like a teenage girl.
