I don't think Durant telling them would have changed anything. I think most of those guys are just mad at the team he went to. Something tells me if he went to Miami, Boston, or even the Clippers that they would act differently towards him than they do now

I think that's true, because he went to a championship level team and basically (almost) guaranteed the Warriors another title. If he goes to another team that he actually puts over the top, it's a different feeling.

And they were also up 3-1 against this team last season. One win away from the NBA finals then he (and Russ) choked in game 6 at home to seal the deal.

I disagree. They were fine together. OKC was just never able to surround them with really good players who could take them over the top late in the playoffs.

The thing that bothers me about all the vitriol that is spewed at Durant is that "loyalty" doesn't apply to the owners.

They will trade your ass in a minute if it benefits them. But, you are a traitor if you go to a team that benefits you more.

Where was the loyalty for Green, Harden and Ibaka?

All those guys got traded to save a buck.

Thing about it also, is that it took the perfect storm for the Warriors to be able to accomplish this.

1. Curry, the 2x MVP is earning this season what Shumpert is.

2. The owners wanted to spread all the new money into the system over a 5 year period. The players said NO.

What crazy about this OKC/Durant situation is how it seems like everyone on OKC hates the guy. In Lebron 1st year playing Cleveland, you would still see him speaking with some players/coaches from the Cavs team.

It has to come down to things Durant told them all personally, it has to. You don't get these feelings without that being the case in my opinion.
