I like the fact that he isn't resistant to taking a step back.

When some top guys start to get a little long in the tooth, they tend to feel threatened.

* See Derrick Rose vs. Butler, Shaq vs. Kobe, Monta vs. Curry

That probably has a lot to do with why Phil wants Melo out of New York.

Bron is still the top player in the NBA.

But, he clearly recognizes that Kyrie will likely help extend his career by shouldering more of the load.
for sure--- thats definitely one of the reasons why Kyrie is such a good match with LeBron. I also like Love as a much too.

first both guys can shoot the 3 and space the floor at an elite level - thats important

2nd- Kyrie can handle a lot of the scoring and playmaking, while Love can handle a lot of the rebounding-- in Miami LeBron was the teams leading rebounder which is not a recipe for keeping him young for the long term.

Those 2 guys really let LeBron do the things that he is best at - playmaking, doing the little things, etc....

plus- i mean- if you are LeBron- and not taking the last shot yourself- there is no one else in the league youd rather have taking that last shot if you were down 1 with 5 seconds left then Kyrie.

Everyone who had significant input agrees with you.

West and Kerr were completely agaisnt it.
I think it was evident to GS fans as well- for obvious reasons of course.

Nobody in their right mind thought the Warriors were giving up Klay for Love.

I think that is an exaggeration. The Ws were definitely close to doing the trade. (or maybe Myers was out of his mind?)

How a vetoed trade irrevocably changed the Warriors and Cavs | FOX Sports

The offer was on the table, and both teams were ready to make the deal.

The crux of the trade between Minnesota and Golden State was Kevin Love for Klay Thompson, and Warriors general manager Bob Myers just about to pull the trigger.

... Jerry West recommended against it and at some point the Warriors pulled out.

Yeah, I can see that.

Both won despite what was seen as insurmountable odds.

But, Lebron doesn't = Brady.....imo

Tim Duncan = Brady

Jordan = Montana

Karl Malone = Marino

Bron = Jon Elway or P Manning

I think Bron and TD are in a very similar category. Best at their positions ever and have a string of championships. Also have lost in the finals too.

From what I've heard from Bob Myers, mostly everyone was against it, however he and Lacob had to at least bring it to the table for consideration. At the time Love was considered one of the best young players in the League and at a premium position. It's when SG's were losing steam and not having much input across the board.

It's why I think the Warriors operate really great because even if they're against something, they still bring it to the table for discussions. They've had some other big debates about players previously too, which is great. You can't have a group of yes men and expect progress.

TB and Bron Bron definintely have the ability to carry teams that should not be in the Finals/SB to that game. like 07 for the Cavs--- or even to a certain extent '15 for the Cavs after losing Love and Kyrie missing multiple games.

Jerry saved them from themselves.

Agree.

They have a democratic way of going about things with one or two guys having the final say.

This is probably a good thing for the Warriors. Definitely better than letting this stuff fester. Draymond and KD both are friends off the court, so that probably fuels it even more. They feel they can be more candid with each other and probably leads to more heated exchanges. You're more likely to get into a screaming match with your friends than you are your co-workers.

Warriors - Blew 3-1 Lead
Indians - Blew 3-1 Lead
Falcons - Blew largest superbowl lead.

What a crazy year.

Plus Alabama was #1 all season until the last play of the game.

Cavs/Wiz should be a fun one.
I think they are currently Cavs toughest playoff out.

So, the Lakers are going with Black/Zubac and Ingram as starters over Deny and Mosgov from this point on.

Makes total sense now that the Season has taken a turn for the worse.

But, How in the hell are they gonna rid themselves of those contracts this Summer?

Bill Oram: Luke Walton said he discussed changing starting lineup with GM Mitch Kupchak and EVP Jim Buss. Both were supportive, he said.

Mike Trudell: Walton confirmed his starting line up of Russell, Young, Ingram, Randle and Black. And more Zu off bench. Increased focus on development.

can we interest you in a 31 year old center with 3 years 48 million left on his contract who averaged 21` minutes a game, 51% shooting , 7.5 pts and 5 rebounds a game?

or perhaps a 32 year old small forward shooting 39.6%, 8 pts, 5.6 rebounds, a game with only 3 years 54 million left on his contract?

Dude, Phil would kill to swap Centers with the Lakers.

Nola looking for a big.

Maybe give em Clarkson to take Mosgov because I think Holiday might bolt.

I just thought they would be the incumbents for a Season or 2.

Taking those contracts with a year remaining is very different than taking them with 3.

I could be wrong. Maybe they aren't looking to move them yet.

yah- Noah's contract might even be worse than Mozgovs--- at least Mozgov can give you minutes on a regular basis.
