Westbrick starting to crank it up. they're kinda going away from Young guarding him...which was kinda working in the 1st half...
I think what they were doing was letting Westbrook do it all and shut down everyone else, but The Lakers still got 21 seconds to go:L

Five seconds left with a two point lead - For god's sake let them have a two point shot and guard the 3 point shot

I officially take back EVERY bad thing i've said about Swaggy P....
LOL - He was pretty bad - Lets not forget they tried to trade him and no one wanted him, but he reminds me of the opposite of a mechanic in Auto shop back in high school - He said you can't make chicken pie with chicken shit, but damn I think Luke Walton did with Nick Young:lol:

It's obvious he's playing for a contract. He's got a player option. He looked around and saw the cap boom so now he's actually putting for effort to sucker some team into paying him when he opts out in the summer. Then he'll go right back to being the lazy, low IQ player he's been his entire career. It's actually a somewhat common thing. Never trust a guy's stats in a contract year

I have to say - The Lakers got a gem when they picked up Luke Walton for head coach - That may turn out to be the smartest move Jim Buss ever made

Yeah. It's one thing to be consistent and always improving leading into your contract year to where you hit another level - which gets you said contract. It's another when you're a joke on the court and in your contract year you finally show you're an actual good player. GM's know what the motivation is - $$$$$$. Once he gets it, as you've said, he'll resort to being the same old player.

Then again.....maybe Iggy was holding him down.

I don't think so - I think he realize that his career was about to south with the Lakers waiving him except for Luke knowing how to get the most out of him. As long as he has Luke - he has a career.

Iggy = New Karthrashians?

I'm tempted to say that was allllllllll Nick.

As for playing for a new contract, he does have a new mouth to feed...lol

So the Lakers get the benefit of his current play and then he goes somewhere else for a bigger contract.

Works for me.

This is ridiculous. 4 minutes in now, he's at 20 points.
