whiteside is way to slow to be anything but a center.

anthony davis is absolutely NOT a center. Cousins is debatable- as is Towns- reasonable arguments both ways.

Sorry but the Warriors bench this year is pretty much as good as last year. West in particular is way better than Speights, Javale has been solid, etc.

SPURS just played poorly in the backcourt matchup.
They have the best frontcourt in basketball AND a below average backcourt.

but they cannot lose the backcourt this awful. It has to at least be a C+ showing.

All of their losses recently have been where the other teams backcourt dominated (Portland, oKc, etc)
The Blazers did it even worse I think outscoring them by 60 in the backcourt.

35 year old Parker can not defend the pick-n-roll that well anymore at an advanced age.
So, unless he can give 10-15 points, it will be tough to win.
Tonight he scored nothing to offset his lack of PNR defense.

I dont mind playing him, but he has to score more than Zero.
Otherwise the defensive lacking will hurt the team.

THat is why Derrick Rose/Chris Paul really makes sense to finish the makeover.

with the Boston loss the Cavs are tied for first- and actually 1 ahead of Boston in the loss column.

I think this is all gonna come down to the game in Boston in who gets home court. If the Cavs win that game- they also own the tie-breaker- so its effectively worth 2 games.

Hopefully Lue makes the right decision on rest - and gets Kyrie and LeBron a couple games off here down the final stretch of the season. That should defintely be his priority over seeding.

that boston game is a 2nd night of a back to back- on the road- when they typically rest players- especially as they have 6 games in 10 days at that point.

It seems like the only issue they've had at all has been adjusting with him and then without him.

And they got through both of those times- so now should be a piece of cake adjusting. They know exactly what to do.

No one wants to play the Heat right now. At worst you're looking a tightly contested games with them going all out against you every minute. Even if you happen to get passed them in 5 or even 6, you'll be coming away drained. 6 games against the Blazers is immensely different than 6 games against the Heat.

It doesn't do any favors for the Cavs when I list them either.

But when only 4 teams in the league have a winning record against above .500 teams, even at 17-16, it's impressive.

It also proves they are better against solid competition than the 3 seed or 4 seed in the conference.

Injuries happen. Paul and Griffin missed some games, but what benefits the Warriors is still having a championship team without their best player, not every team has that luxury.
