Jackson with Ingram would most certainly be a NICE defensive pairing for the future. As for Lonzo, I don't see a transcendent player, but I do see a player that makes his teammates much better than they are, although it remains to be seen how that would work out with Russell.
Overall, just like always, I'll assume that we won't keep the pick, and whatever happens, happens. As for the 24 pick, pretty sure we could find a gem. Either that, or I'd look into moving that pick with Deng's contract somehow

Yeah, I agree with Mecca that the Lakers may be able to get Leaf or Rabb with that Houston pick.

As for Deng's contract, unfortunately, about the only way they get out of that is if they can convince him to retire.

A high risk/astronomical reward guy like Giles might still be on the board when you use that Houston pick.

If the Kings get one of the top PG's(Fultz, Ball, Smith, Fox, Ntilikina) and one of the top SF's(Jackson, Tatum, Bridges, Isaac) I'll be happy. There are preferences, right now it's probably Fox and Isaac, but they need to shore up those 2 spots with talented young players. Anything else would be disappointing.

Buddy has shown the ability to attack the rim and has also been very good shooting the 3 with the Kings. Ball would definitely help him get open shots along with lobbing it up to the thin towers of Skal and WCS. I'm not holding my breath on that happening, but it'd be fun to watch.

Worth noting that UCLA had a soft schedule and in games where they played tougher opponents, Ball's numbers were similar to what you saw tonight than the transcendent player he's hyped as. He's a good prospect, not an all time one. He's a lot closer to the other PGs in a really PG heavy class. I think Fultz is better and I kinda like Dennis Smith over him as well.
