After how crazy the WC/DS were, the CS has been a snoozer so far. It has been entertaining watching Daniel Murphy hit though, it's like sorRy doC on steroids.

The Royals look unstoppable, especially if Cueto has figured it out. Their bats are on fire.
I don't know. The Mets pitching is pretty badass.

In scale, yes. But the root idea is the same. Greinke has the right to explore his options. If the Dodgers (or Yankees, or Giants, or Cubs) dont like that, tough shit.

But Greinke has every right to exorcise the clause in his contract. It was an agreement between him and the dogs when he signed. It is really pretty cut-n-dry. There is absolutely zero reason for anyone to be upset that he exorcised it or for anyone to infer that he is evil for doing so. It was a business agreement.

I don't think he wants to do THAT....

I would *love* it if after Greinke officially voids his contract, the Dodgers make a public announcement that they will not be making an offer to him (like the Giants did when they realized that Dusty was just using his 'negotiations' with the Giants to up his price elsewhere). Wishful thinking - it will never happen.

He has the right to practice any religion he chooses. If he wants to purge his contract of demons, who are we to stop him?

This is a tough board. Half of us want him in slaverly, the other half wants to oppress his religious freedoms.

Mets up 6-1, top 8th. Will the Cubs get some luck this time around? Doubt it.

The Mets playoff run so far is so 2010 Giants-esq, except for the fact that the 9th innings haven't been 1-run, guys on base situations (plus the fact that they will sweep the NLCS). For the most part, the Mets are dominating the score.

Incredible to see 2 young teams go at it which were built from opposite philosophies.

The Cubs have been building a young team investing high draft picks and international prospects on hitters, and then went out and signed pitchers, and traded for pitchers.

The Mets have been building a young team by investing in pitchers, then went out and signed and traded for a few hitters.

We saw what the Giants did, so we know how this one should have worked out before the series started. I just think it's incredible that we saw 2 teams who took completely different approaches to long-term roster construction actually face off in a playoff series! It's the argument actually playing out! The results speak for themselves. The Giants obviously did it first, but the Mets just put the stamp on it.

So the lovable losers lost. Yawn. Not really involved - I am rooting for the Royals.
