AL East:
Red Sox
Orioles (WC)
Jays
Yankees
Rays

it's a crap shoot between the non-Rays teams. Any non-Rays team could win the division (except maybe the Yankees, but they'll probably finish above .500).

AL Central:
Tigers
Indians
White Sox
Royals
Twins

AL West:
Mariners
Angels (WC)
A's
Astros
Rangers

could see the A's grabbing a WC.

NL East:
Nationals
Marlins
Mets
Braves
Phillies

NL Central:
Cardinals
Pirates (WC)
Cubs
Brewers
Reds

NL West:
Dodgers
Padres (WC)
Giants
Rockies
Diamondbacks

AL MVP: Josh Donaldson
AL CYA: Felix Hernandez
AL MoY: Buck Showalter
AL RoY: Jesse Hahn

NL MVP: Giancarlo Stanton
NL CYA: Clayton Kershaw
NL MoY: Clint Hurdle
NL RoY: Jorge Soler

WS: Nats over Mariners

AL East:
Red Sox
Orioles (WC)
Jays
Yankees
Rays

Misc predictions:
Bryce Harper breaks out.
Andrelton Simmons emerges as a ~.280 hitter with 20 home runs, complimenting his fantastic defense to make him a top shortstop.
Mets, Giants and Marlins are in playoff contention until the final week.
Brandon McCarthy makes All-Star Game
Nathan Eovaldi breaks out

My father-in-law and I have bet challenging each other on picking divisions, wild cards, pennant winners and champion for about a decade. Not that any season is easy to predict, but 2015 seems particularly nuts. I'd say that all AL divisions are up for grabs and there are only a handful of AL teams that I would say have no chance to win their division. The NL seems a little more predictable in that I think the Nats, Cards & Dodgers seem to be the frontrunners, but there's a lot of unpredictability below those, and anything can happen.

That all said, here're my predictions:

AL West
LAA
SEA
OAK
TEX
HOU

AL Central
CLE
CHW
DET
KCR
MIN

AL East
BAL
BOS
TBR
TOR
NYY

AL Wild Cards
SEA
BOS

NL West
LAD
SDP
SFG
ARI
COL

NL Central
STL
PIT
CHC
MIL
CIN

NL East
WAS
MIA
NYM
ATL
PHI

NL Wild Cards
MIA
PIT

Pennant Winners
LAA
LAD

Champion
LAD

red sox take the east, win 90+ with a horrible pen...games will be 11-9 etc

clays testicles descend in a contract year, he puts together 32+ starts and makes some offseason dough

ortiz, ramirez, and pablo combine for over 90 homeruns

castillo takes the job from the declinin hawaiin.

Looking at the Red Sox rotation, I just have a hard time picking them for the division title. I tend to agree with you that Buchholz will have his best season yet, but that's no guarantee, and if he falls flat, that leaves Porcello as the team ace.

im making this prediction based on things outside of boston:

tanakas arm will fall off this year,or he develops another compensation type injury...they dont have a ton of offense in NY either.

baltimore wont repeat last year

toronto is toronto

then tampa still has a team

You have a point.

I'm not willing to write the Rays off as quickly as most seem to be, though. Their pitching might surprise folks.

I'm assuming Ortiz and HanRam will hit at least 70 of those 90+.

anything can happen over 162

it will be a really interesting year

100%. I'm glad it's starting.

I don't understand why SI felt compelled to pick the Indians as the champs. A lot of things will have to go right for them to be a top team in 2015, and, let's face it, this is Cleveland, when do a lot of things go right here?

I wouldn't be surprised if Panda finished about 6th on the team in home runs. A healthy Napoli should easily out-HR Panda. Bogaerts and Betts could.
