NOTE: The trade with Tampa brought a 1st. Not sure if it is Tampa's or the pick they had from the Rangers. I am fairly certain it will be the lower of the two which means it will not be determined until one or both are eliminated from the playoffs.

It's Tampa's first. Obviously rooting for an early Lightning exit

@reporterchris: Braydon Coburn deal to #TBLightning is now official. #flyers get TB's 2015 first-round pick, 2015 third-rounder and Radko Gudas. #NHLTrade

And by the way...

@reporterchris: One last note on Coburn trade: There is a form of lottery protection on 1st-rounder in the unlikely event #TBLightning gets No. 1 pick.

I really can't contain my excitement now that we have two 1sts. Can't wait to see where we'll be picking

We can really stack the depth in the system - you still have to go for best player available but boy would it be nice to get some offensive studs in the system for a change

If the picks stayed the same and the draft was today:

McKenzie: Oliver Kylington and Filip Chlapik
Button: Timo Meier and Jake Debrusk
ISS: Pavel Zacha and Jeremy Bracco
Hockey Prospect: Kyle Connor and Thomas Novak

Are any of these players ready to contribute with the big club in the next few years?

Out of all the guys listed that I am even familiar with Zacha seems like he could be in the NHL soon. Apparently plays a gritty, American game

I was pretty psyched to hear Hexy say that now "we have to make the picks count". That is more encouraging than just getting the picks in deals.

11 of the remaining games are against what I call good teams. Unless we keep up the beat good teams, lose to bad we should be picking 8, 9 or 10 ad again somewhere around 24.

Just like every year I jump around day by day with who I want. Lately I've really been tempted with stacking the D. Provorov in particular, but Werenski or Kylington would be fine

I don't mind stacking the defense as long as they all pan out so that they can eventually flip one of them for help up front

It's not a bad way of going about it, but you have to pick the right guys

We are now picking 9 and have a good shot at 7 or 8.

Really really want Mitch Marner. Not sure if he'll be around when the Flyers pick though...

Timo Meier also looks like he'd be a good pick.

I like Kylington and Roy on defense.

Let's say the Flyers pick where they are now

Do you trade that pick plus the other 1st rounder to get Mitch Marner, or do you just hope he falls to where the Flyers would pick?

I'd just hope he falls to where they pick. If the Flyers were a better team, maybe you move up in the draft. But really they have plenty of holes that need filled. Not worth putting all your eggs in one basket IMO.

I think they could end up with 2 of Meier, Zacha, Roy, or Kylington and that would be awesome. Just need the Bolts to cooperate and lose in the first round.
