When is the last time we had a full recruiting class of 25 kids committed before the end of the season? I have not seen this since I started following recruiting. The staff already is now recruiting for the next two years. Good to get a head start rather than scrambling to fill up the current class.

We are currently at #18 according to Scout holding 25 recruits including five 4 star prospects and an average rating of 3.0 stars. As other teams fill out their classes, we will likely drop to the 25-30 range by signing day.

Last year, we had 22 recruits sign including two five star prospects with an average star rating of 3.0. That class ended up at #40.

We should end up with the 3rd or 4th best recruiting class in the B12 this year. Texas and OU will beat us and TCU may also pass when they fill out their class. We will do much better than 7th in the B12 as we did last year.

Kudos to the coaching staff for getting in players that will be able to compete. While some may complain that coach does not know how to call a time out, they can't complain about the recruiting.

Very happy with the guys we have coming in....I think another thing should be pointed out a lot of the big time programs recruit star ratings...WVU is actually going out and getting pieces that we need. I think this is going to be a very impressive class when it is all said and done. A lot of pure talent and a lot of guys with something to prove.

Is the bump simply due to interest by tOSU?

Not a good sign for WVU he's visiting Columbus this weekend…

That's how it works often times, the bigger name shows interest and boom, kid is automatically better! LMBO, that's why they call it an inexact science I guess..
At the end of the day it usually boils down to how the kid meshes with the S&C staff and how bad he wants it rather than how many stars he has out of HS. Of course there are exceptions but usually it's all about hard work and commitment by the player.

I always thought that was a hoot, a kid is offered by Bowling Green and is a two star kid, OSU offers him, and suddenly that same kid is four stars......with a good coach, I will take the two star kid with heart and drive over a terrell pryor type ANY day.

Our incoming class is currently rated #15 and best in the B12. We have 6 4 star guys on the list with OSU charging hard for Landers and McFadden making noise that he will look at other offers.

Now comes that wait and see time as many of our guys will be pressed hard by other teams to flip. It will be interesting to see if we can keep all that high priced talent.

Hate losing a good looking DL. OSU is defending that Pickett fence around Ohio. Interesting that the difference between a 3 and 4 star is an offer from OSU.

Apparently the kid played lights out his senior season, all the way through the post season. His performance changed the minds of tOSU coaching staff who felt he was too short last year.

Huge loss to WVU, as the team really needs some studs up front on the DL.

Junior College guy, signed letter of intent. As long as he qualifies, he is here next year along with JC DE Larry Jefferson 3 star DE from Itwamba CC. That would lessen the blow if McFadden flips also.

We have 3 safetys and 4 conerbacks in this class. Add them to Worley and Henry and we could have one of the best defensive backfields in the country.

My question is who is going to rush the passer? Maybe Gibby should invent the 2-3-6.
