No backup TE? Risky business

Many of us will do the backup TE... Again, it is very difficult with only 5 bench... if your starting TE gets hurt, what is the chances of the backup being fantasy relevant for you?? that is the question you have to ask...

Guess it depends if you think you have a top 5 option or not... Anything else you have to stream weekly

Another bench option that I have seen in suicide in the past is 3 RBs as they are susceptible to injury.

Got a watch your byes. It's ideal to have only four WR, with different byes for each. The three wide roster can be a killer. Only three RB's is risky, but ideal as well. Usually though, the risk of being that short on the bench in that position is extreme.

I think two years ago, my third and only bench RB was Mikel Leshoure. Geesh, as I write that, man I hope I'm wrong.

There's really no correct answer unless you can guess which of your guys are going to get injured. Last year I carried 4 running backs, 4 wide receivers, 2 quarterbacks, 2 tight ends, 1 defense, and 1 kicker. I had a full lineup most weeks, but I think it depends on what running backs and receivers you have also. I like the idea of backing up your tight end only because that's a lot of zeroes if he gets hurt early.

Yes. Plus the non consistency factor with TE makes it wise to carry two so you can at least try and work the matchups.

You know, this sounds like good advice... BUT I am not sold on worrying about the BYE weeks... It is a BONUS to have minimal conflicts, but I don't think I would use a BYE week as the indicator to why I would not draft someone... The only exception is QB....

Well if you have four WR and two have the same bye, yer screwed. And through the 9th - 12th rounds, what are you really sacrificing? The talent level is spread out with little separation.

And having a 5th WR sucks with a five man bench.

I wonder if there is a statistic about who gets hurt more TEs or WRs... But the one thing for sure is that fantasy backup WRs are genrally more reliable than Fantasy backup TEs.

I actually wish that we changed the format to 2 RB, 2WR, 1 TE and WR/TE... Should have proposed that change before we started...

I would think WR 49-60 are comparable to TE 13-24.

That would have been a roster I would have liked, milk.
