She said Dumulong parked his car as usual at the KC Irving Centre but, as he was walking away, noticed it was moving. He tried to stop it with his body but the car, which was picking up speed, went over his leg.

A bit of rough stuff in the Maritimes tonight. A 20 year old agitator mixes it up with 15 year old "exceptional player" Joe Veleno, resulting in Lightning prospect Boko Imama leaving the bench. He was too late to say it was in defense of Veleno, more like revenge.

"He's probably going to be gone for 5 or 6 games!" I think Imama would take that. He's been suspended a few times before in his career.

A couple of strange moves in the Q today with different results.

In the midst of a 9 game losing streak, the Moncton Wildcats bench the CHL's leading scorer Connor Garland tonight. The result is they get their first win in 10 games. While the win was against a bottom feeder, it still comes as a bit of a surprise as they've been finding ways to lose to teams everywhere in the standings during their losing streak even with Garland in the lineup.

Also despite leading their division and being tied for 2nd overall in the Q, the Shawinigan Cataractes fire their head coach Martin Bernard hours before a big show down for 2nd place against the Saint John Sea Dogs. The result was a 3-2 loss to the Sea Dogs who now move into the sole possession of 2nd place with a game in hand.
