Yes we did. But I dont think we can do it again
Bill Simmons (who is a horrible prognosticator) picked this in his mailbag last week..... He actually had them losing all their remaining games. When they were on the ropes yesterday I thought about it.
But seriously..... Which of those games does SD win? I thin their best chances are @BALT and their home game against Denver (they've played close games with Denver in the past). New England is rolling right now and I expect SF and KC to be fighting for playoffs/seeding.
Simmons does most of his predictions based on the spreads...his current record for the year is pretty good, I believe.
He's been awful against the spread the last few years. I love his Friday pick column, but it's definitely a lousy source of gambling knowledge..... It's mostly just the thoughts of a crazy NE homer.
I see us losing to the browns in cleveland, losing in pitt, and losing to Denver
all the others we win.
If we can turn just one of those games around, win at home vs pitt and win against tb, then we're good to go.
Bengals and Browns normally almost always split. They are pissed they got embarrassed by the Browns. Pretty sure they are going to go to Cleveland with a huge chip on their shoulders. I see the Browns blowing it winning is still new to them.
Oh, no doubt. Last year, he was brutal. I think he was doing really well heading into this week, though.
His mailbags are what he does best though. It's a shame he's gotten too big to keep up on that. He also used to do really great reports on various trips (Vegas, Lewis fight, NBA All-Star game) and the like.
After Week 14:
1- NE 13-3
2- DEN 13-3
3- PITT 11-5
4- INDY 11-5
5- BALT 11-5
6- CIN 9-6-1
9 wins is suddenly good enough to get in.
Win 2 or 3 and we are in for sure.
Win 1(Browns) and we need
4 of these to happen(or just PITT and BALT):
PITT to lose 2(@ATL, KC)
BALT to lose 2(JAX, @HOU, CLE)
SD to lose 2(DEN, @SF, @KC)
HOU to lose 1(@INDY, BALT, JAX)
MIA to lose 1(@NE, MIN, NYJ)
BUFF to lose 1(GB, @OAK, @NE)
Win 1(Broncos) and we need
5 of these to happen(or just CLEV, PITT and BALT):
PITT to lose 2(@ATL, KC)
BALT to lose 2(JAX, @HOU, CLE)
CLEV to lose 1(@CAR, @BALT)
SD to lose 2(DEN, @SF, @KC)
HOU to lose 1(@INDY, BALT, JAX)
MIA to lose 1(@NE, MIN, NYJ)
BUFF to lose 1(GB, @OAK, @NE)
Win 1(Steelers) and we need
5 of these to happen(or just CLEV, PITT, and BALT):
PITT to lose 1(@ATL, KC)
BALT to lose 2(JAX, @HOU, CLE)
CLEV to lose 1(@CAR, @BALT)
SD to lose 2(DEN, @SF, @KC)
HOU to lose 1(@INDY, BALT, JAX)
MIA to lose 1(@NE, MIN, NYJ)
BUFF to lose 1(GB, @OAK, @NE)
no
Steelers will beat the Falcons, as the Falcons are sorry as heck.
therefore, our "playoff" is that we need to beat either Denver or Pitt-@Pitt
Andy's already browsing fishing catalogs looking forwards to the offseason. so it ain't happening.
I'm willing to bet that Andy's casting leaves a lot to be desired.
