Orpik deal is too much, but we have some cap room to burn and he'll make our team better, so I ain't mad.

I think around $4.-4.5 would have been better, but this is the way the system works. The rules are so bent towards teams retaining their RFAs that the UFA salaries are going to be inflated.

We need better defensemen. This is an improvement on what we have. I wouldn't say it's a terrible deal at all. I'd like to see them get one more D-man as well.
