I'm hearing that the Oil seem pretty high on this Draisaitl kid. That could potentially leave one of the Sams (either Bennett or Reinhart) for the Flames if they retain 4th pick in the draft. I'd be fine with that.

That 8.1% chance from the Isles could move into the Sabres bucket before the lottery.

If I'm not mistaken, the terms of the conditional pick from the Vanek trade require the Isles to decide before the lottery if they're giving up this year's or deferring to next year.

Garth Snow said the Isles don't have to make a decision until July 1st. Who's gave you your Info?

By the way Trent Klatt will be the Isles rep at the lottery.

That Eichel guy is looking pretty good too.

I'm kinda hoping that NYI defer their pick and are even worse next year. I know the Sabres are going to suck again, but to have two potential lottery picks next year.

All the Isles need is a legit goalie & they have a good shot at the playoffs. They finished the season strong with a bunch of kids in the lineup. They have 5 Centers going into next year. The defense is young & could get even younger with Reinhart, Pulock, Pelech & Pokka waiting in the wings. I expect the Isles to keep this years pick because a healthy Tavares with a full season for Ryan Strome & Brock Nelson should easily improve their point total.

Another thing to consider Sabres fans is the lottery rules will change next year. Tanking like your team did this year likely won't help you as much.

I truly believe the Oilers are already thinking of the 2015 draft and hoping to select McDavid or Eichel. Keeping Eakins as coach and keeping most of the core intact looks like the Joe Sacco Colorado model to me.

Klatt is the Isles Director of Amateur Scouting. To be a fly on the wall while all 5 reps talk to one another. By the way I fully expect the Oilers to win the lottery. It's what they're BEST AT.

Hey dash do you remember when Burke was the GM of the Whalers? He moved from 6 to 2 on draft day & took Pronger. He was able to land both Sedins for the Canucks. That's the Burke the Flames need now. Burkie needs some of that old magic tonight.

By the way I was wrong about the date in which Snow has to let Buffalo know about this years pick. It's June 1st not July 1st. Sorry about that everybody.
