Sorry I didn't make the pick. I got into a car accident yesterday and have been out of commission until now.

I'm very surprised in a quarterback driven league and so many teams in need of a quarterback that more people haven't drafted guys. I mean when there are guys with starting caliber arms like Aaron Murray and Mettenburger still on the board it just shocks me.

This guy from Eastern Illinois has really impressed, we will see after the combine more but he is projected 2nd-3rd round

He is definitely rising up draft boards. He was by far the best quarterback at the Senior Bowl and with a good combine/pro day he definitely could get his name in contention for that 2nd round. He is at least in that 2nd tier after the 3 main guys.

QBs are really easy to pick apart as prospects and you can only have one on the field.

I understand that just think at least a couple of these guys will most likely in the real draft go much earlier. Quarterbacks seem to be picked much higher these days even if say they are going to sit on the bench for 3-4 years. Teams are even willing to use a 1st round pick if they think the guy is a starting quality quarterback eventually down the road. Heck possibly the best quarterback in the NFL had that happen with Rodgers.

I'm extremely happy with my picks so far

Bradley Roby - CB
Deone Bucannon - S
Jeremiah Ataochu - OLB

Roby pick may come off as questionable to some, but I'm a believer in his talent.

Deone Bucannon...I don't think many know about this kid since he plays in the north west but he's a big physical hitter. His mechanics can be worked on some, but that's something that can be taught and tweaked. You can't teach size and speed. In the senior bowl scouts thought he impressed the most out of all the defensive players and if he has a great combine his draft status may rise even further

Jeremiah Ataochu...seen this guy play a few times and he has such an incredible initial burst. I'm reading that out of the draft outside of Clowney, Ataochu may have the best first step.

A few things with Roby for me. The kid definitely has all the talent in the world. He has that top end speed, decent height/weight, plus has a ton of experience playing man to man. I think the couple of red flags for me would just be consistency, maturity, and the fact that he had a down year even though he played only a handful of games actually lined up across from a teams' #1 receiver. He stayed on one side of the field so all teams had to do was move their #2 to his side and even then he still didn't always do well.

Doesn't mean he can't be developed as I do believe a lot of these guys just are not given that great of coaching on the little details that take a player from being mediocre to great. He has all the skills to be great so he is a risk but one that can definitely be worth taking. Heck I drafted 2 guys for the Broncos in the same boat with Hageman and Purifoy. Both have world class athleticism that hasn't always transferred to their play on the field.

And there just went one of my favorite players in the draft with Smallwood. I didn't figure he would make it to the Broncos in the 4th round but was really hoping his name would just get overlooked.

A lot of players I wanted got selected in this 3rd round. I'm happy to get him now since the Colts don't have a 4th round pick. :bawling:
