Watkins won't go at 2. Bradford would still have an excuse BTW...he gets killed because the OL can't protect him.

My guess is they use either the next pick (depending if it get's traded) or some of their mid-round picks for the OL. I mean this is one of the deeper drafts for OL players in recent memory.

We might need someone to take over New Orleans, Philadelphia, Carolina and N.Y. Giants as I have not seen those GM's since they first signed up.

And the 3rd pick in the draft goes to Teddy Bridgewater for Jacksonville.

I thought STL should've went with OL.... still plenty of WRs to select from later on.... idk bout that call.

The OL and WR position are both very deep in this draft. I don't think though that there is another playmaker with Watkins ability later in the draft. He gives St. Louis now 2 major playmakers that with the ball in their hands are dangerous in the open field.

Now do I see St. Louis actually picking him...No. A big part of his game is his return ability and Austin already has that part covered. He is still a very dangerous receiver and one of the few in this draft that I think can handle Seattle's physicality and win the battle.

I was hoping for a trade. There is value in this pick but oh well.

Watkins is far and away the most popular name Ive seen on this board and on the Rams fan board that I go to.

Yeah I feel Watkins brings a similar dimension to what Austin brings or will bring is used right... with Mike Evans still available later on, that could've been the WR to target if OT was the first... IMO...

but hey, STL can probably still get that OT later on, so its a moot point.

Clowney to Houston?!

Did I miss the memo that they're switching to a 4-3 this year? Clowney would be seriously miss-cast in a 3-4. He's a prototype 4-3 DE...

I'd expect Manziel to be the pick for CLE. Manziel would be with Kyle Shanahan which is good and bad. Kyle is very scripted and Manziel is far from that.

my thinking is Robinson from Auburn to shore up the OL and then add Mike Evans later if WR was a top need... however STL could still get that OT later on, thus making it a moot point.

Watkins, top WR in the class IMO, brings a similar dimension IMO that Austin brings. Evans at least becomes that big target, possesion WR to complement the speed side of the playmaking at WR...

Watkins is a lot bigger than Austin, much more physical and a better overall WR, imo.

Further securing the fact that he will be an NFL Failure.

Not really. Clowney won't drop into coverage but Wade Phillips will make that work. You cannot pass up Clowney.

Seattle has a bigger problem with small shifty guys I think.

He is a shifty guy though. Part of the reason he is a return man is he can shift directions and get to top speed quickly. He just has the added bonus of also being a pretty physical guy.
