Guess it doesn't matter now. Pretty wild that the Panthers took him. They already have Greg Hardy and Charles Johnson. Ealy gives them some great depth at the DE position, not that they needed it, as Carolina led the NFL in sacks with 60 last year.

That is a crazy amount -- 60 sacks?! They averaged almost 4 sacks a game. Very impressive.

After signing Hardy big... Johnson may be able walk 2015 and roll with Ealy after. Smart move to keep money down....wish we could do those moves.

I read somewhere today they have been trying to trade Mallett. So maybe they have a deal in the works for 3rd or 4th rounder for Mallett? Actually, the team rumored to be the trading partner is Houston, so it makes sense that they haven't drafted a QB yet.

I'm watching both the game and the draft at the same time. Tigers have left two men on a couple innings in a row. They also had an inning where Cabrera, Jackson and Castellanos all had singles, but Vmart hit into a double play sandwiched between Cabrera and Jackson's.

Verlander looks really good though.

Maybe they know Brady only has 1 or 2 years tops and will keep Mallett to be their starter and Garropolo as the next Mallett.
