Right now, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is my guy. if he would fall to the Bengals it would make all the years of waiting for a viable safety worth it. With that said, wonder how J. Cyprien is doing in Jax? Have a feeling we'll never hear from that guy again.

He played pretty well against the Raiders. Laid some big hits on WR's. We could probably pick Haha, he isn't a top 10 type safety IMO. At least not what I've seen from him.

I've been watching that kid since he was a freshman. To me he seems like the ideal safety prospect. Maybe not off the charts like a Sean Taylor, but a top 15 pick. I wasn't a huge Cyprien fan. he grew on me. The safety the I loved from last year's class was Elam. We'll see how he develops in Balt. at this point though you won't hear any bitching out of me for taking Eifert and Gio 1 and 2. I was hoping Elam fell on draft day, but Gio seems like a homerun pick.

Not a top 10 safety? What are you talking about, draft guru?? If he comes out, he'll be in the top 2 or 3 safety's taken.

Better check whatever website you're looking at and make sure they're taking underclassman into account.

Top ten pick. Not top 10 safety. He isn't a top 10 pick type safety.

Ahhh misunderstood. I don't think he is a top 10 pick either. Should be the first or second safety off the board though.

my thinking is we'll need a replacement for PacMan Jones, he doesn't seem to be able to keep himself out of trouble and will likely implode soon.

i worry about Burfict, but like some of the Detroit players, he'll probably just draw a suspension here and a suspension there.

and of course, we have some issues at Center, and some folks are speculating we won't be able to sign Michael Johnson.

Still, I see CB becoming the greatest area of need following the PacMan's inevitable implosion.

If we're picking around 20, we could go a number of ways.

DE: Aaron Lynch, maybe Stephen Tuitt (I have him a little higher, but some don't)
CB: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Jason Verrett (my favorite)
OT: Antonio Richardson, Cameron Erving

DE in the first would be a huge mistake.

Don't think it isn't possible. MJ or Dunlap gonna be gone.

Dunlap signed an extension already. So we will have him, Hunt, Gilberry, Geathers. We have bigger needs than a DE in the 1st. CB, LB, S, QB.

Didn't say we didn't have bigger needs, but there are only certain positions that Marvin and Mike believe in drafting early. LB and S aren't priority positions. They're NOT drafting a QB. CB is a possibility as mentioned.

I'm thinking the 1st few rounds go like this:

1st. CB (Purifoy or Roby)
2nd. QB (Carr, Manziel, Morris or Mettenberger)
3rd. C (Swanson or Grasu)

Or

1st. QB (Hundley or Mariota)
2nd. CB (Kyle Fuller or Justin Gilbert)
3rd. C (Swanson or Grasu)

Or

1st. OLB (Kyle Van Noy or Ruyan Shazier)
2nd. QB (Carr, Manziel, Morris or Mettenberger)
3rd. CB (Justin Gilbert, Quandre Diggs, Carrington Byndom)
