As much as I hate FLA, a sub.500 year isnt acceptable EVER.
I agree sir, maybe they don't want to fire him prior to the Florida State game?
we'll see I guess

How long was Dan Mullen's contract?
Dan Mullen just bought himself another year State is going bowling with a win over Ole Miss. No State coach has ever gotten fired winning the egg bowl.I don't remember
but the heat's on him
Mississippi State fans want Mark Hudspeth from Louisiana-Lafayette

One of the biggest reasons to keep Pelini around was the fact that it looked like USC, Michigan, Texas, and Florida would all have openings, so Nebraska would only be the 5th best available job.
All of a sudden, it looks like Nebraska could be the best job available. Why delay the inevitable with Pelini when next year you likely won't be able to get you first choice?
Pelini and staff's buyout I heard was close to 25 million.....don't know how true that is, but if it is, he isn't going anywhere.
Statement from University of Nebraska Director of Athletics Shawn Eichorst on Coach Bo Pelini
Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013
"My approach has always been to not comment publicly about our coaches until their full seasons are complete, as I strongly believe it is unfair and counter to best practices. However, given the volume of unfounded speculation and conjecture about our head football coach, I want to reaffirm what I have said many times since I have arrived at the University of Nebraska -- that I positively respect, appreciate and support our football student-athletes, coaches and staff, as we do everyone in the Husker family. We very much look forward to our upcoming bowl game and Coach Pelini continuing to lead our program in the future."
so far yes
I'm interested to see how many ADs turn back on their word once the season is over
Especially when what they say can be very ambiguous. Case in point with the pelini statement of him leading the program in the future. Well the future could just be the bowl game and then he's out. Or it could mean next season or the year afterwards. These statements are typically worded to still give an out without losing too much credibility.
I personally see Pellini getting at least next year due to the number of open positions this year and Nebraska wanting a top coach, not someone that was passed over by other schools such as USC.
probably time for Bud to finally move on
