Even though it was against the statistically worse offense in baseball (although they haven't hitting bad as of late), it's still nice to see Minor pitch decent. Funny enough, the next time he pitches will be against them again, lol.

Better he pitch against the Padres than the Dodgers.

Had to catch this game from the radio. Sounded like a great job by Santana and Gattis to go along with some more fine defense from Simmons.

Now we can all pull for the Marlins tonight, even though the pitching matchup strongly favors the Nats.

Now it's time to start the west coast trip. Last one of the season thank God.

I hate it when it's the NL East's turn the face the AL West because it adds another west coast trip to the schedule. I'm about as loyal of a fan as they come, but I just can't stay up to 1 AM to watch the game and be up to get ready for work at 4, not if I plan on being worth a damn.

And you can talk about history all you want, but to me, Dodger Stadium is the ugliest stadium in the Majors. It looks like it's made of cheap plastic of the ugliest colors they could find to me.

The Dodgers are probably the only team I dislike because of the way their stadium looks.

It's a big blow. At least Carpenter has been pitching better lately.

Henderson Alvarez escaped a bases loaded no out jam without allowing a run. Hopefully it's a sign that the Marlins will beat the Nats again tonight.

This will be a tough road trip. LAD, SD(who has owned us in Petco the last few years) and Seattle. As much as I'd like to see King Felix pitch a game, I really hope we don't draw his slot in the rotation.

And we should be grateful that the only time we will see Oakland in the regular season will be at the Ted.

Not a bad trade, I guess. We already have Gattis, Laird, and Bethancourt, so losing the catcher we traded wasn't a huge loss for us.

I wasn't all that thrilled by acquiring James Russell, but he's better than David Carpenter. It's also unlikely that Johnny Venters will come back this year, and Gavin Floyd is on the 60-day DL.

I find the Bonifacio acquisition very interesting. He's a center-fielder like B.J., but is putting up a .279 average. Do you guys think B.J. is going to get benched and eventually traded away?
