Anybody have high expectations for this team?

My expectations are low and sad to say I'm expecting a long season.

I wonder if there will be any tryouts?

2 more weeks and its training camp everyone!

Well with the Niners depleted defense and the shit show that was the Oline in the preseason I think we may be in for a down year. I just don't see us competing with Seattle this season.

Oh, you meant the Sharks. I think they'll still make the playoffs and then go out in the first round as the underdog. I think they are thin on D and secondary scoring. Raffi going out already will really hurt this team and Wilson did jack shit in the off season to address any team needs.

Couple more days and camp begins, ugh!?!?!?! Got a bad feeling this is going to be a weird season.

I think they will probably come out of the gate on fire. Defense will look like a bunch of HOFers and shutdown everything, Anti wont have to do anything but make some crucial saves, Thornton will be a beast and need a daily soak after all the assists, Marleau will be physical and dominate...

and once we all drink the kool-aid and the playoffs begin... well, you know how this goes.

I'm looking forward to what Ty McGinn will bring this season, he has the potential as a 20-30 pnt energy guy which would be huge for the Sharks. Looks like Tennyson is going to be a career AHLer after how camps gone. Mueller doesn't appear to be ready, granted it's still early in camp, but I won't be shocked to see him back in JR's. Applehauser might be a dark horse 6/7 Dman.

So it looks like a mediocre stArt and some trades will go down and probably hit the playoffs as a 6 seed

He very well could have but it doesn't mean Krug has to accept it if he wants to stay in Boston, it wouldn't be the first time a player turned down an offer sheet

Yesterday, I spoke to a sharks insider (he plays golf with jamie baker regularly)... two little snippits:

1. Jamison was fired because of the contract with comcast.
2. Thornton was shopped heavily and primarily in talks with toronto. However, a good deal never arose, so they never officially asked thornton to waive the NTC. In other words, The summer of shame was supposed to have far bigger news and splashes and DW's rhetoric was real, he just never got a deal worth anything.
3. DW knows his job is on the line as does Todd. Both know this is the make it or greak it year for them.
4. Couldnt get any info on the remenda canning.

Just figured id share. Nothing too groundbreaking or surprising, but it was interesting to hear that it was toronto and that deals were on the table, just not good ones.

He was the CEO of the team and was asked to resign. He said publicly that it was all his choice and that he wanted to go, but he was asked to step down as CEO because of the comcast deal. At least thats what my guy says...

I went to the ANA game - he looked pretty sharp. Good nose around the net and the PP line he was on was moving the puck around very well. IMHO Chris Tierney looked the best out there, he was a step ahead of everyone on ANA and was really just in a groove. Matt Tennyson looked pretty solid as well.
