I love Lavy and his system but he has to realize that it won't match up well to every team. He needs to not be stubborn and and tweak it a little bit when matched up against certain teams...NJ is one of them.
the problem against teams like NJ (and more importantly NYR) is they're very conservative.. they have very deliberate break outs and play very tight defense.. lavys system thrives on the other team making mistakes, either on their own, or by forcing them in to mistakes.. when you're not skating hard enough you dont force any mistakes, and when you play a team that's only real goal is to play mistake free, you end up losing 8/10 games against them
that's why the flyers slaughtered the pens in the playoffs last year.. they play at a fast pace and have a lot of mistake prone players.. that was the flyers dream match up, i said it going in.. against teams like the rangers, devils, and i'll throw the bruins in too, the flyers are going to struggle
