I am assuming that ranking does not include US College players?

Players who have yet to be drafted by NHL teams. I see some players from the US junior development team/league on the list (and some top European juniors who are either playing in Europe or in the CHL).

Yeah, I guess the USDEV team are likely college players. Plus I guess most of the top tier college players have already been drafted.

On first read, I thought it was odd that there were no colleges on there.

Most of the players from the USA who are draft eligible come from the USHL. Which is the league the US development team plays.

Puck are you surprised that MacKinnon is still number one on this list? After the WJC Hradek & others are praising Jones for #1. I actually think Drouin might end up being the best player in the draft.

I don't see any Halifax games at all, but from what i saw at the WJHC, Drouin was clearly the more dynamic player.
granted, MacKinnon wasn't given 1st line time like Drouin was as the tourney progressed, but that seems to be a fair coach's decision based on their play. MacKinnon had a couple flashes of brilliance, but Drouin was far more dangerous, far more often. Seemed to drive play more frequently.

would be interested in Julian's take in the 2nd half of the Q season.

That's the thing, it seemed like Drouin was moving up the lines from game to game & didn't seem out of place no matter who he was playing with. I know & understand why Spott has taken a lot of criticism for what happened in the tournament, but he called Drouin a special player. That has to mean something considering all the talent on Canada's roster.

Well at least there's one from my hometown team - even if he's ranked all they way down in 72nd.

Only one Sabre but I'll take Grigorenko at #3 I think he's going to be a good one and is a center a position they needed to address.

Four Wild players: This squares well with all of the fan posts on their Facebook page last season to the effect that "We've got alot of great young players in the pipeline".

The Wild have already made their intentions to start Granlund this season clear, & with the Defense still riddled with players recovering from last season's IR carnage, I expect that the two D-men will be getting their chances as well.

Nichushkin is a 6'4 210LB winger from Russia. I believe he was the 1st pick overall in the KHL draft last year. Tremendous skater, especially for his size. I don't know how many years he has left on his KHL contract.

Man, those top four seem to be incredibly solid. Seems difficult to distinguish between them.
