Kind of surprised that Anthony Mantha isn't mentioned in the top thirty. Is he not draft eligible in 2013?

That's right Hagg, keep dropping...

And of course Nurse's stock has skyrocketed since I first showed interest in him in November.

NO way should Zadorov, or Nurse for that matter, be rated ahead of Barkov.

The kid is basically a PPG player in a top-tier men's pro league and he doesn't turn 18 until September. Already 6'2 and 200 lbs, he's gonna be a beast.

I would love for the Flyers to get Mini Kapanen for nostalgia reasons.

Lot of familiar last names on that list. Are many of them second generations?

Windsor’s right winger Joshua Ho-Sang rises 12 positions this month to #14 from #26. At the other end of the spectrum, North Bay's center Blake Clarke drops 13 positions to #26 from #13 in October.

"Power forward Clarke has missed most of the season with shoulder injury and others are starting to move ahead of him in rankings”, says ISS Hockey Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis. “On the other hand, Ho-Sang is rising for all the right reasons, his play on the ice. Ho-Sang has elite puck skills is an explosive, quick, fast player. He has exceptional play making ability and one on one skills. He is, however, a high risk, high reward player at times.”

The December release of the ISS Top 30 shows a consistent month's release of the Top 5 holding their rankings; Sam Reinhart (#1), Aaron Ekblad (#2), Michael Dal Colle (#3), Willie Nylander (#4) and Sam Bennett (#5).

"Reinhart has been at the top of our list all season. The World Juniors will be an excellent opportunity for him to continue his upward climb but Ekblad has been trending in the same direction," comments ISS Hockey Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis. "Taking the World Juniors with a grain of salt when looking at the big picture but seeing how both Ekblad and Reinhart react playing at the highest level for Canada could give them an extra boost to lock up the #1 spot come June."

Obviously haven't seen all of these kids play but of those that I've seen live Draisaitl looks like the real deal. Great hands, vision and a true NHL frame. I'd have him in my top 5 without hesitation.

10. Anthony Duclair – LW, Quebec Remparts, QMJHL

I love seeing this and knowing that we drafted him in the 3rd round. There goes Clarke again with another steal in the draft!

And his stats so far

The January release of the ISS Top 30 presents a fresh look of the Top 5 rankings; Aaron Ekblad (#1, previously ranked #2), Sam Reinhart (#2, previously ranked #1), Sam Bennett (#3, previously ranked #5), Michael Dal Colle (#4, previously ranked #3) and Willie Nylander (#5, previously ranked #4).

A superb showing on junior hockey's biggest stage elevates Ekblad to ISS #1 prospect for January. "Ekblad was arguably the best defender for Canada, and we see him as a future captain and cornerstone defenseman down the road," comments ISS Hockey Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis. "No doubt, Ekblad's transition into the NHL will be as smooth as any defenseman in the past decade, as his strength and maturity make him NHL ready right now."

February's release of the ISS Top 30 presented big movers throughout the rankings. Nikolay Goldobin was the biggest gainer of the month by rising 12 positions, from #25 to #13. Joshua Ho-Sang also impressed our scouts and he raised 10 positions, from #19 to #9.

"Russian forward Goldobin is an elusive player who plays a cerebral game and is dangerous with the puck," comments ISS Hockey Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis. "What he lacks for in size, he makes up for with skill and smarts."
