I think the biggest thing I've taken away today is that Der'Woun Greenes name is pronounced DARE-ee-on according to hokiesports. Mind = blown

Predictions on our final ranking in Rivals? I know it doesn't matter; I'm fully convinced we've brought in the talent to edge our way closer to a shot at the title. Right now we're at number 22 looks like.

He says some hilarious things on twitter, also said Holmes is going to be a beast next year. I don't think people are talking about him enough (from the Shane Beamer radio excerpt I heard especially). Especially with the talk of Edmunds going to RB, I'm worried about him getting his shot.

We will have an interesting situation at RB. Could be over crowded in a year or 2. Holmes will likely be the starter next year, not sure about the redshirting for JC (just to give him time to add a little more weight) and Harris (coming off an injury). There is Edmunds who may be a RB, may be a LB, might be both. Gregory I can see being forced out of the picture especially with his injury. This year we could be fine but 2013 when we have Holmes, Coleman, Harris, Edmunds all possibly competing for time will be interesting. There is always the chance of injury sidelining one. I am sure we will get another RB or 2 next year as well just due to attrition. This is also assuming Mangus is moved to WR.

IMO we should redshirt Edmunds (and Harris to make sure he is 100% healthy and strong). JC will have added some weight since he is working out with the team all spring so let him play as a true freshman with Holmes. If there is an injury to them we may have Gregory back and not sure about Patterson. We also have Dyer.

In 2013 we would have a 3 headed monster in Holmes, JC, and Harris and I would move Edmunds to LB. Even if he is 2nd string there it will give him more PT than being 1 of 4 RBs.

Looking at last year's recruiting class, we pulled a 260lb FB, Justus Hoffmann. I hope he can get a hat on somebody because they will be going backwards.

i really hope that edmunds plays defense. we need an athlete like that more on defense rather than running back where we have a lot of young talent. i also cant see how he could play both ways effectively at running back. marecic or whatever from stanford did it but he was a fullback and wasnt pounding the rock all game.
