Yes on the AFC East. There's a formula for the remainder of the non-division games, but I don't know what it is....

Another note is we'll have two trips to the eastern time zone for sure....three if Atlanta somehow pulls out the AFC South (doubtful).

Other than the 6 division games, you play division in the AFc and NFC each year. Which makes 8 more games. 8+6=14. The 2 remainding games are for NFC since we are in NFC and you play the teams that finished in same placing as you did +2 equals 16.

was going to post the same thing...

@GB, NE, NYJ(take it), NO????? fuck...... (but i'll be at 2 of those games for sure)

at least we get Det again back home and either giants or cowboys too....

but damn our away schedule is freaking tough! sh*t.

dare i say a few primetime matchups? GB i almost have to guranteed that'll be a MNF or SNF(or opener pending victor) and NO too most likely.

I think vs. DET will be a primetime matchup.

Nice mix of offensive & defensive opponents. If the team we are right now can add 100 yards of offense and keep David Akers out of the record books, we'll be a 12+ win team for some time to come - regardless of schedule.

It's nice to know that we have now become an "Oh Shit" in the minds of others, like ourselves, as they look at their schedule and see the 49ers on it.

so we basically have to play like the top 5 qb's in the league next year. we might have to not only resign rogers but bring in another #1 calibre corner

I left Maiocco a post on this article, but I think he got some bad info. We should be playing GB and MIN at home next year and CHI and DET on the road. Otherwise, the schedule is correct.

Yes. And the venues reverse from 2009 for the NFCN and from 2008 for the AFCE. Thus, @NE, @NYJ, BUF, MIA, @CHI, @DET, GB, MIN.

Yes on the AFC East. There's a formula for the remainder of the non-division games, but I don't know what it is....

We play an entire AFC division, which rotates on a four year cycle. We play an entire NFC division, which rotates on a three year cycle. We have home and home vs. our division, and the final two games are against the two other teams in the NFC that finish in the same position in their division as we do in ours. For 2012: AFC East, NFC North, NFC South winner, NFC East winner, home/home vs the NFC West.

Exactly two trips to the East (unless ATL wins the NFC South). @NE and @NYJ. Three trips to the Central time zone (@CHI, @DET, @NO). I suspect Harbaugh will petition the league to allow us to play the Pats and Jets games on consecutive weeks so that the team can stay in Youngstown in between.
