Right now I'm going to look at our needs
personally what we need to do is first of all is resign
Steve Johnson- yes he's immature but still talented, too talented to not get anything for him, at the very least sign him and trade him for a 2012 draft pick.
Lindell- he's a good reliable kicker
Urbik and Rinehart- both are pretty good guards and are relatively young, have to bring both back.
Bell- he actually wasn't too bad this past year, problem is he gets hurt
Chandler- he isn't great but resigning him will give us one less need.
Choice- he adds decent depth to the running back position.
next we need to fire whatever training staff we have, seriously this is not coincidence that every single year we have half our starters go down with injury, something has to be done with this we'll never make the playoffs if our starters keep getting injured.
in free agency we have to make some moves
if he becomes a free agent we should use some of our extra cap space to grab Calias Campbell of the Cardinals, he's actually one of the top defensive ends in the league right now, adding him would help our line greatly, can you imagine Kyle Williams, Marcel Dareus and Campbell all on the same dline, we'd terrorize QBs. That is of course if the Cardinals don't try to franchise him. Otherwise we could try to get Robert Mathis who will likely hit the market, he still has some gas left in the tank, so we could use him for a year or two.
whether through the draft or in free agency we need to pick up more offensive lineman depth, mainly at tackle.
in the draft I'd like to see us get Jonathan Martin of Stanford so we have the left tackle spot down, if he's not available, Courtney Upshaw or Whitney Mercilus at rush linebacker would be the next best picks, or we could trade down a few spots and then get Kendall Wright or Alshon Jeffery at reciever NOT Michael Floyd, he's injury prone, last thing we need is another injury prone player.
throughout the draft we need to add more depth at the lines, add a corner, and get some pash rushing linebackers. Maybe add one more middle linebacker for depth there. Sheppard will likely be one starter for awile but we need another because Barnett doesn't have long left.
